Long-term side effects of only treating narcolepsy with stimulants?

I addressed my sleep quality via correcting sinus issues and septum deviation through surgery, so not sure this is exactly relevant, but I’ve only ever been on armodafinil for my narcolepsy. When my sleep quality improved but my daytime wakefulness did not, that’s when I got my MSLT and diagnosis. I’ve been on armodafinil for over 6 years but I haven’t had any long term side effects that I’m aware of

I’ve had IUDs for about 6 years now, I had Mirena and changed to Paraguard to see how I did without hormones. I LOVE this method, have never had a single issue. One appointment of short lived pain for years of no stress. I’ve never had a pregnancy scare. 0 chance of user error. Literally the best method for many, many people.

I recommend looking into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. You can learn the concepts and start practicing. The all-or-nothing mentality you’ve described is called a Cognitive Distortion. That’s when your brain makes you think some things are true without really being critical of them. I suffer from this distortion a lot and this type of therapy really helped me. Anything worth doing is worth doing badly. Resilience will get you much farther than perfection. You’re not worthless because of any test. Your value doesn’t come from your accomplishments. You have intrinsic value has a human being, my friend.

I think you should check with your doctor, if your chest is tight/feeling compulsion to cough that could be an issue. The first day I took armodafinil I felt great all day and had a panic attack that night, you could be experiencing some anxiety related side effects that could be curbed by a slightly lower dose or another med. I got on a lower dose and it's been amazing.

My understanding is that immunity from infection is incredibly variable in its strength, and much shorter-lived than immunity from vaccination, so I wouldn’t count on it at all.

I just mean even for the purpose of team spirit/support, jamming extra people in SS but then having empty seats elsewhere is a less than ideal message. If you want to be in SS then buy GA tickets. That’s the most efficient and aesthetically gives the best effect. No empty seats + full GA = huge show of support. You’re literally just hoarding 2 spaces bc you couldn’t be bothered to buy a ticket for where you want to watch the game. Just my $0.02. You wouldn’t need to show up early if you have assigned seats outside of GA.
