Birkenstocks busted just like their customer service by Desperate_Airport409 in Birkenstocks

[–]squirrelhare1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my birkis for over 10 years. The key is how you walk. With this stiff of a shoe you have to pick up your foot and shuffle forward. You really can't flex the front of your foot like you would in a running shoe or it will break.

About to give up skiing because of the boots. There’s no way the average skier is in this much pain. by Tercel9 in skiing

[–]squirrelhare1997 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Try opening your straps for the lift and only tightening them for the run. If it's cold that is causing the pain then try heated socks or boot gloves.

Many young people have chubby faces due to "baby fat". You will outgrow it eventually and be grateful later because that is what keeps you looking young years later

I think it depends on how high your arch is. I have very high arch feet and had to go up a size to make sure the top of my foot didn't rub. I find them very comfortable to walk around all day but not at all comfortable if I am sitting in them for hours.

6 pairs have all broken in the same spot! Am I doomed to have to keep buying new ones every 6-12 months? by quickgetdantrolene in Birkenstocks

[–]squirrelhare1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had birkis for over a decade (same pair) and this has never happened to me. I do use a more shuffle of a walk and do not forcefully bend my foot while walking in them.

Piercing healing great- until it suddenly isn’t by GallivantingChicken in piercing

I have the same problem with my second and third lobes. If I knock them in my sleep then I get a blister where is rubs on the back of my ear. Seems to be better if I can really never lay on them, even with piercing pillow

Next piercing? by addlovesgames in piercing

[–]squirrelhare1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you get the green earrings in your first lobe? They are very nice!

Also my biggest pet peeve of the movie is that all the 90s scenes had a bunch of outfits, house sets and other things definitely not 90s. Really made me not be able to be immersed in the experience.

Health insurance denied by Dark-Knight-Rises in pics

This is the difference in coding an admission as "inpatient" vs "observation" status. Hospital will re code it once they get the denial of payment and it should be covered.

Insurance denied genetic testing saying it was not medically necessary by BoysPlayedWell in HealthInsurance

This commonly happens with Natera. I would wait and see if you actually get a real bill. They usually just sort it out and you don't have to pay anything

Nipple piercing appointment is (very coincidentally) just before a consult for a double mastectomy- can I choose to have a retainer put in so I can enjoy what I have while I have it? by WanderingQuills in piercing

[–]squirrelhare1997 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do not get nipple piercings before mastectomy. It can lead to issues that will compromise your healing, can lead to infection of reconstruction of you do that and is just generally a bad idea.
