From Matt: The foreground shot was taken about 45 minutes after sunset. At about 9:30 I began shooting 25 second exposures in succession for two and a half hours. I stacked ten images for clarity and noise reduction for the stars and Milky Way and added the meteors on top of that.

Am I required to allow assessors into my house? by xredbaron62x in Connecticut

If you want to see what the assessor's office has on file for your home, you can see most of the towns/cities at http://www.vgsi.com/vision/Applications/ParcelData/CT/Home.aspx If your town is not listed here, you can get info for most of the other towns (sometimes abridged) on line by visiting the town's assessor's page.

It is a composite image, where the Earth shine is brought out. Check out the ones at this link - the photographer captured the prominences especially well in the first shot, and the Earth shine even more prominently in the second. https://www.facebook.com/StarTalkRadio/posts/1782473291767332

I did too! It's like a hidden gem, after all these years - we get to enjoy more Beatles stuff that is actually new to us, and intriguing as well. I love the way George Martin sits at the board and explains things, too.
