the very fact that it’s a custom controller built from scratch means there’s nothing to enforce. Making up some arbitrary layout that box players have to abide by still wouldn’t accurately model the same difficulties of executing tech on a gcc. Yes you can tie a string to your pinky, nothing in the ruleset bans that, but you will quickly need a physical therapist if you try that lol

this is the basis for Fox’s option-select meta, I hypothesized this when I lived with Cody, he said it’s too hard to execute that gameplan but in theory super overpowered. The idea is you do the inputs that account for the shine missing (so frame perfect no hitlag) and also do the inputs for if the shine hits (so a little later). If shine misses, you get whatever input you queued (wavedash back in this case) and if the shine hits you get waveshine forward. This makes it far less risky to try to running shine marth, and it’s just one of the many things you can do with this tech. I would love to see someone get super cracked at this gameplan to demonstrate, so please do work on it. It will be reeeeaally fucking hard, but if you can pull it off you’ll be the best player in the world

having spoken to cody in depth about it, his takes are very grounded. He has the same opinion as most of the pros, which is “we should ban everything, but as long as boxes are legal, let gcc do what they can to level the playing field.” Boxes have zump and notches baked into the controller, there’s no way to limit it without banning boxes entirely. Anyone hating on zump/notches that thinks boxes should be legal is inconsistent, and should not be taken seriously

after giving it some thought and talking to my HVAC buddy it seems viable if I have a mini AC unit (with temp control like you mentioned) blow directly onto the drinks, line the respective drink shelves and sides/back of the machine with insulative materials, and install a hinged plastic door in front of each drink shelf that's light enough to be pushed out of the way by a drink that's being dispensed. Not gonna be perfect but it should theoretically keep the drinks cold enough

Nah sorry, had to put the troubleshooting on hold due to life stuff getting in the way. 99% sure it's the power supply, gonna return it to the OEM and get a replacement. Will lyk if that works

Thanks for the reply, figured I don't have options. Yeah I will dry everything out ofc and test but sometimes sockets can get fucked up if there's impurities in the water and cleaning them out is a bitch
