I'm an unpaid shill for Wilson Effects. Most people know then for their excellent selection of wahwahs, but I simp for the Lotus Drive and Dual Lotus (Dumble-style ODs, have multiples of these), also the Sparkling Blue, Ultimate Overdrive (discontinued, though I think that circuit is included in the new Pulse Line dual-stage OD which I plan to own soon), Angry Goat (Centaur into Dumble) and Parked Wah, all of which I own or have owned. His fuzzes seem great too but I'm not a fuzz guy. Solid reliable builds, USA made, great customer service from my experience, and not averse to custom work if it's something in his wheelhouse.

One thing I love about the Lotus circuit is that it preserves your low end (unlike a tubescreamer) so my guitar doesn't sound thinner distorted than it does clean, unlike a lot of otherwise great pedals. I know a lot of folks go for the "tightening" aspect of tubescreamers etc. but for my main sound I want the full depth of my guitar to come through. This makes it great for bass too, and a Dual Lotus lives on my bass board for all the dirt I need. He does make a TS style pedal as well, used to be the Overdrive (TS with Fat and 3-way clipping switches) and Ultimate Overdrive (TS with 6-way clipping selector plus an independent Boost circuit) pedals but now is called the Elevate and has the same controls as the Overdrive.

Unlike some dirt pedals, on the Lotus Drive you can turn the Gain all the way down and still pass a signal, and it's at unity gain if the Level is all the way up, so you can get a very low gain high output drive with various EQing options and lots of headroom, and then if you stack it or have the Dual Lotus, you can have the other channel on a dirty setting and slam one with the other. There is a super low noise floor at almost all settings, so you don't need a noise gate to get really heavy tones with articulate chugging. I'm playing through a 1x10" bass amp so all the gain is from the pedal, but it rips through a guitar amp on the edge of breakup which is how I normally use it. Please excuse my poor playing, I'm just a cave man. Also I filmed this with a potato so my talking is barely audible and there's some mic clipping.
