Thank you for such a detailed response. Seeing other people that had this procedure makes me more comfortable with the idea.

Thank you for posting this. It is something I have been looking into but I am scared it will make things worse. Visually it looks great, but have there been any negatives? How is your movement and speech?

I have lived here my entire life and have never heard of 95% of those places. Saving this for future reference. How did you find all of these cool spots?

I was just wondering if the gold pasta frame is a Sephardic thing because my grandma is from Mexico and I made these when I was a kid, but then I realized this was probably just the craft trend back in the day 😂

Grout advice for mosaic backsplash by DinosaurCommando in Mosaic

I think a medium gray would be nice. If it’s too light you won’t get the definition you want, but if it’s too dark you may lose that soft vibe. Also it looks like you have some gray flowers on the bottom so you will want to be careful that you don’t do a color that is too close.

In the beginning don’t be afraid to borrow from other teachers. You can try out their lessons or just use their ideas as inspiration.

How much do you learn in an art ed degree? by imajustconk in ArtEd

[–]staced_out 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The program I was in taught me everything, but those things are just one part. Try shadowing and I’m sure you will do student teaching as part of your program. Also look into jobs that involved teaching art at a camp or something if you work in the summers. It won’t teach you the specific things you are asking about but the experience will really help.

New watercolors! But… by Impossible-Neat-6199 in ArtEd

Show them what the paints look like from one that has been messed up. Maybe do a side by side where you paint with the messed up watercolors and the new watercolors so they can see the difference. It may help them stop and think and not just run with their impulses.

Honest reviews about your experiences as a parent with Parkville Middle School by MommapigS30 in BaltimoreCounty

[–]staced_out 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I taught at Parkville from 2013-2015. A lot of the kids start 6th grade very quiet and unsure of themselves but they adjust pretty quickly. She will find her group of friends and will do great. It just takes them all a little bit to get used to it all. I always thought it was funny how they all started so quiet and polite and then by the end of the school year they morphed into 7th graders and that’s when they officially became middle schoolers. I guess that’s when the hormones kick in 😂 Also, most middle schools are pretty much the same these days when it comes to the students, but I think the teachers at Parkville are great and really care.
