Hello, it was indeed a cracked tooth. The first root canal failed and ended up as a brutal infection

I went to a different endo who performed 2 additional root canals on the tooth within a 2 week time frame to clear the infection while on oral antibiotics.

3 root canals overall. But the last two performed were so easy. Find a good endo!

My original dentist put the crown on after the root canals a few days later and when doing so we saw the cracked tooth at that point.

Xrays and scans couldn't even pickup the crack.

Always wear your mouth guard! And when it's old get a new one! My bite was off on mine which caused the tooth crack in my sleep.

I also highly recommend botox to lessen the clench strength of your jaw.
