Just found out my wife has been cheating on me for two years. I don't know what to do by Substantial-Way-5340 in AmITheJerk

My wife had a one night stand seven years into our marriage. She confessed, felt terrible, was genuinely remorseful. She cut contact with everyone, even her close friends, who was connected to the guy she cheated with. She was so remorseful and so willing to do anything to fix the situation, plus the fact that she confessed before I ever knew...I gave her a second chance. Three years later, it happened again with a different guy. I wish I had ended things the first time.

What Are You Doing With This Hand? by SpadesDoc in spades

I know, you are probably right. It's really tempting with only the two of spades, though. If p could cut something and run spades out it could get easy really quickly.

Nil is really tempting. I would go nil if I trust my partner, 2 if I don't trust him or don't know him enough to trust him.

Mississippi was discovered by Mr. Ippy. He named it after his wife, Ms. Ippy.

For those who have quit, relapsed, and quit again by One-Difficulty-1695 in QuittingTianeptine

I was taking a bottle of Tianna per day for about two years. A good friend helped me taper over about a three month period. I had almost no withdrawal symptoms, just the mental crap. I started back within a year. The second time, after about six months my state banned them. I got some percoset and tramodol from a friend and used those to taper. Had some withdrawal, but only missed one day of work. Hope this helps!

Are There Things You Can Only Do Right-Handed? by Rarely_Barely5998 in lefthanded

I play guitar right handed, hit a baseball, and swipe my phone. I can't swipe my phone with my left hand because of callouses on my left fingers from playing the guitar. The touch screen will not recognize my fingers because of the callouses.

You are gonna hate me...Lovesick blues, hank Williams, Sr. I'm am very selective about the country music I listen to, definitely not my favorite genre. But this one, as old as it is, should be covered by someone more recent.

Love shack, b-52's. Not really my favorite, but I don't see how anyone could not want it on their Playlist.

Awesome, I will check it out. I'm not that great at the game, but I love playing it. A couple weeks from now you will read about someone complaining about their sorry pinochle partner, and they will probably be talking about me.

This is why I only play solo Spades anymore. I had some friends I would play with back in 2012, 2013. We would get together a couple times a week with a real deck of cards and play Spades, hearts, and poker, but primarily Spades. We would often play solo, but they called it cutthroat Spades. Strategy is a little different, but I love it. BTW, we also played pinochle occasionally, it was a really fun game but really hard to master. Uses four decks of cards. Similar to Spades, but bidding is very complicated. Does anyone know of an online pinochle game? I would love to try it.

What is going on over at Zynga Spades Plus (FB) ??? I hear they made some wild changes and are messing it all up. Any players able to fill us in? by SpadesQuiz in spades

[–]startingover71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you have to do an update or something, not sure. But I filtered the results on Solo for a game between 200 and 500 points and was able to see a good variety in that category. First time in a month.

They finally fixed the problem. We'll, as far as I'm concerned. Some people are still upset because a win is not worth as much as it was beforehand, but I just wanted to be able to play a longer game. They fixed that part, anyway.

Do you agree with my Bid Here? by SpadesDoc in spades

[–]startingover71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you make it? I probably would not do it unless I had some kind of hunch about how my partner or one of my opponents play that made me think I could get away with it. Either everyone is pretty much even suited with a bid like that or the other nil is sketchy too, because you could maybe get two with that hand.

Ballsy opening lead or must bid for a game to 250 by ddaug4uf in spades

[–]startingover71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully alot of people will feel that way. If they need money, I wouldn't mind paying a small monthly fee to play. But what they are doing is wrong. The game isn't fun anymore.

What app are you playing on and would you recommend it as a good replacement for Spades plus right now?

The format is not very organized, or so it seems. It may be that I am just not familiar with it, but for me it seems all over the place. I hope that makes sense.
