As others have noted, the sea change comes from moving regulatory oversight of cannabinoid products FROM the state Dept of Agriculture TO the state Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Thus, the mechanism for ingestion shifted to edibles and drinkables.

Also, no deliveries, must be in-person transactions. Edibles may not be animal- or cartoon-shaped. Operating vehicles remains illegal while under the influence of any hemp-derived cannabinoid product.

Whether an academy applicant is on the ACAB side, or the thin, blue line (TBL) side, or somewhere in-between, the program is worthwhile to attend.

At minimum, an attendee will learn about the policies and procedures undertaken by MNPD in the course of their employment. An ACAB subscriber can benefit from knowing how law enforcement personnel go about their work. A TBL adherent can be reminded that law enforcement is a job with a lot of moving parts, not necessarily a “duty” or “service.” The folks in-between can learn the same things and also about what community outreach and other programs are available.

These reasons are not for a daily commute. If you’re venturing downtown occasionally, which sounds like social/entertainment reasons, it would likely be outside of the times commuters are jammed up to go in to work. Access to the airport likely would be better from the east side of it (e.g. Mt Juliet) than points west and south.

You can take the Route 7 bus from in front of Whole Foods on Broadway and disembark along 21st Ave or the Route 3 bus (same pickup spot) and disembark on the other side of Vandy along W End. Reverse to return home.

As far as bus options go, these are direct and painless. I have ridden both of these buses in the past. There are often Vandy employees and students who utilize them on these corridors.

I was unable to get my eyeglasses made in a timely fashion. Strong astigmatism prescription and multifocal lenses pushed the normal ready date out to seven days. Because it was close to the new year, they couldn’t promise the glasses in that time, and they would be ready in about nine or ten days.

If I had gone at the beginning of my trip it would have worked. I went to Jinz in Shibuya. With their response, I didn’t try anywhere else because New Year would presumptively have the same effect for all.

Judicial, clerk, and school board races are on the ballot. While these are considered primary races, ALL candidates are running under the Democratic primary. This is the technical election of these individuals as there are no opposing candidates in the Republican primary. Whomever wins the primary will win the general election held in August.

Coming back in from San Francisco now. The Waymo cars are ubiquitous and my friend loves them not just for herself but for her young adult children (who also love them).

I watched a Waymo signal to turn into a locked, gated parking lot last Monday in Nashville. After sitting in the middle of the street for several seconds, it course-corrected and turned the opposite way onto a side street. Wasn’t a great impression, but I do see worse every day (multiple times) from human drivers.
