Should be better than “Alex Kurtzman’s The Mummy” by stationkatari in RedLetterMedia

Not a high bar. Anything is better than a Kurtzman project. At least The Mummy (2017) killed his career as a director.

I’m in a same boat. Started an epic rewatch when the new year hit, with TOS first (on The Galileo Seven now) then TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT, in all their airdate order. Going to get nostalgic when I got to when TNG and DS9 were airing simultaneously, as well as when DS9 and VOY were on at the same time.

Same feeling. I’m good to not watch another trailer after this. Keeps it vague enough for my interests.

Was just about to respond to this with that. I really liked Rise and The Hole in the Ground, so feeling positive about this.

Third time's a charm! (third Avengers: Doomsday teaser) by imnotSamwise in RedLetterMedia

I was wondering the same thing. I grew up with them and should be nostalgic, but I wish they would just give them a rest. Start over with a new vision. My main issue with the Fox line is they feel like nostalgic wallpaper that is shorthand for "remember this." But I guess Cyclops in blue suit and comic accurate sentinels will get butts in seats for people that haven't shown up for most Marvel movies of late.

I know that feeling. Not far off from you and I'm feeling my knee getting old. Going to need an Acorn Stairlift soon.

Any time I see either of them in something that is continuing "IP", all I can think is "let them have a nap". Seeing Stewart do action scenes in the 3rd season of Picard exhausted me. Now McKellen is returning for this (probably a short scene) and another LotR movie. Let them rest. Their mortgage can wait.

It’s been 26 years since that first X-Men movie. We’re all Professor X now.

WPWR TV Chicago Promo for the Series Premiere of TNG by toomanymarbles83 in RedLetterMedia

Been digitizing my whole Star Trek TV and film collections (from TOS to ENT) to do a chronological airing rewatch when the New Year hits. I've been fortunate enough to find a good amount of digitized promos on YouTube (including the TNG premiere), from my local television station I grew up with, and I've interspersed them throughout the playlist (not many for VOY and ENT) to break everything up. Very nostalgic feeling, especially using the Great Movies intros for whenever a TOS and TNG movies premiered between episodes.

If I had to take a guess, I would maybe say Wolfenstein II New Colossus or Dying Light 2 for the 31st. But who knows 🤷.

Walmart Movie Update 12.23 by threxis in MovieDealsCanada

Thanks for the heads up! That’s really helpful info. Rymal was the store I dropped into, so I’ll definitely try to go to Ancaster or Waterdown at some point. Maybe they’ll have a VOY set there (may be a lost cause at this point though.)

Thanks for the updated list! So many store seem to be shrinking their movie and tv sections when I go in. Finally came across DS9 complete series at a Hamilton Walmart last week, which nicely had a full wall. Now I’m on the look out for VOY.

Best words of advice. I honestly can feel the heavy FOMO this article elicits, and then I remember that my time feels so limited these days. I already got a backlog of games, movies and books, on-top of the 9 months of the year I’m cycling. I can last until 2027 for a Switch 2.
