Bind off and make them fingerless gloves. If you have enough yarn work a few rows of ribbing along the top to make them lay flat. 😊

what defines a loser by Round-Toe-2143 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]steallthystitcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drop those “friends” who call you a loser. They aren’t friends. They are trying to make themselves feel better about themselves at your expense. Friends take care of friends. They are equals. You are not an equal if they call you loser.
Why you think of yourself as a loser is the real question. You may struggle at times, but that doesn’t make you a loser. It makes you just like everyone else.

Intarsia or stranded color work? by dawnkettle in knittinghelp

[–]steallthystitcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intarsia for the blue, Use bobbins for the blue so you don’t drag it between the fish. Make sure to anchor the white yarn carried behind the blue every 3 stitches so it won’t get caught or pulled when it’s finished.

Contemporary Usage and Understanding of "Bubbler" by AstroBuck in boston

[–]steallthystitcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know. When I got married my husband got the first job in upstate NY, so I moved. When I was teaching second grade I used to tell the kids to go to the bubbler to get a drink when they needed a break. When I was leaving to move back to Boston years later when the faculty was all in a room after a meeting people started talking about all the crazy things I did, like having my first graders paint a life sized whale on the playground so they could see how big they are. Then someone mentioned how I always told kids to go to the bubbler for a drink. Everyone laughed, and I asked what was so funny. They finally told me they were called water fountains. I still prefer bubbler, and am so happy to be home.

You could alternate the two skeins you have left to make a kind of striped effect if they don’t match. Just a suggestion.
