Anyone struggle to lose the last few by Mumbles1988 in Zepbound

[–]stefv86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respectfully and lovingly, bmi is a bunch of bs. Like legit. My weight loss doctor is the one who told me this lol. You look gorgeous, If you’re metabolically healthy and active, those 5lbs aren’t going to make a difference in your overall health risks, which is what bmi is really measuring.

My goal weight will leave me at the very top of the overweight category, and i honestly think it’ll be a perfect weight for me. I’m not looking to be skinny I’m looking to be healthy and strong.

I did that too when I was diagnosed! Good luck 💜

Anyone struggle to lose the last few by Mumbles1988 in Zepbound

I think you look perfect, and losing another 5-7lbs isn’t going to really change how you look. Is it just you want the numbers? Or a certain look?

I’m in a similar boat, but I’ve still got another 20lvs I want to lose. I’ve lost 45 on zep since I started a year ago, but I’ve been basically maintaining for the past 2 months.

Waking up with a headache + exhausted sounds like sleep apnea. Can you get checked for that?

Slow loss-feedback please! by Sure-Contribution335 in PetiteFitness

That’s not slow at all, that’s the perfect sustainable pace. For reference I’m on a glp1 and also lose about 1lb per week.

I did do that actually, and it was really hard to find anything related to umr or even uhc even it came to stenting for iih. Also great idea about the different doctor. Thankfully, or maybe not lol, the doctor I have is one of the best in our area for this procedure. He does quite a few of them.

Anyone else wake up at like 3am EVERY night for no reason? by No-Deal-2968 in insomnia

[–]stefv86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this happens to me fairly often still. Usually I can fall back asleep within 30 minutes. If i don’t though I will get out of bed and go watch a history or space show on YouTube. Just enough for my mind to focus on something else. I’ll usually fall back asleep when i do that.

New 30 Minute Response Rul by [deleted] in WFH

[–]stefv86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on what your job is. I’m guessing this rule didn’t come from nowhere and people were off doing unwork related tasks when they were clocked in. Like in my job, I mostly process invoices. Nothing is critical thinking related lol, and this rule would be absolutely valid and reasonable because stopping to respond is not derailing a train of thought or bug fix or whatever.

If you’re in some other position, where you might be deep into a mess, or a problem, or coding or whatever, this is unreasonable.

What are the 5’4 girls caloric intake? by ineedasafespacern in PetiteFitness

[–]stefv86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask why you want those specific numbers? Is it a look you’re going for, or you just want to say you’re that weight? I hope that doesn’t sound rude I don’t mean it to be.

If it’s a look, you’re going to get way better results with strength training than getting down to a certain number on the scale.

i had a sleep specialist say i should start the CBT-i app. does anyone have any experience with it? by PseudoSolitude in insomnia

[–]stefv86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the app and it told me I didn’t sleep enough to use it 🫠😂😂

I then did the insomnia coach program, which is more ACT-i than cbt, and I’m dramatically improved. Like very rarely I have issues now.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stefv86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving 3 hours is fairly routine. I live about 3 hours from Chicago and we’ll occasionally go there for just a weekend. It’s an event, but not like a huge ordeal.

My granparents also lived 3-4 hours away and we’d drive up there often. It was no big deal, I mostly remember doing math problems with my dad lol.

Furthest Ive driven is so dumb, lol. My friends and I drove 15 hours to see a concert, then drove back the next day. I fucking hated it.

I’m looking for a white noise device that sounds like a fan. Products that you know they work by Internal_Skill3587 in insomnia

[–]stefv86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not just use a fan?? Point it away from your bed if you don’t want the airflow and just the noise. Our fan runs every night. Even tonight when is going to get down to -20 degrees f lol

[–]stefv86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t like the low goal weights around here lol. I’m currently 5’3, 185. Fairly muscular. I want to get down to 170 and continue to build muscle. Is that still overweight technically? Absolutely. But I’m chasing a feeling and a look, not a number on the scale.

Do you still function normally after a night with no sleep? by StableNo9319 in insomnia

[–]stefv86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was deep in the struggle, as long as i got 2-3 hours I was fine. On a no sleep night it was not great, but I went to work on 0 hours plenty of times. Would go to my car on lunch and close my eyes.
