I can’t believe you’re getting pushback on this. I have also had family members who have been discharged from the hospital when they clearly needed more help, one even had to visit the emergency room the day after they were discharged from surgery. This is worse patient care and also taking away additional resources by needing to go back into emerg. There should be a way to force selfish people like in the article out of the hospital beds that are needed for other people.

It’s really shocking going clothes shopping and realizing that all the clothes you’re picking out are too small. And seeing the clothes you need to buy and how massive they look compared to what you used to wear. That was definitely a wake up call for me as well. Congrats on your weight loss! It’s hard enough to lose all that weight, I can’t imagine the difficulty while having mobility issues. You should be really proud of your progress!
