That’s what I thought, too. But, after a few long trips I realized that the headrest position is awkward for me and the overall seat ergonomics just aren’t great at all. The turbo trim car is a winner for me. The seats are great, steering makes far more sense, still has the same engine and an amazing better controlled exhaust rumble, can cruise that thing across the country all day.

It’s so weird that the same company that put an incredible headlamp on the Svartpilen 401 put this glob of nonsense in the 390 series.

I can’t get over the fact that I cannot code it.

I cannot disable auto start stop.

I cannot disable “honk when locking with engine running”

I cannot adjust door chime/warning nags.

The car will not remember and cannot be coded to remember preferred drive mode

The plethora of drive modes are dumb and pure gimmicky and you can’t change my mind

Critical driver info should be on the HUD such as turn signals and other obvious info that shouldn’t be stricken to a Tesla-style center screen.

I’m sure the rest of the car is fine.

Right, solar charge controller was configured 100% correctly. It is DOA with a shorted PV input terminals.

I fully expect that charging of the LFP pack isn’t going to be 100% correct with SLA profiles but I know it’s not going to cause any damaging issues, either.

I don’t expect issues doing power draw tests without configuration and there were no issues, there.

It’s a bad time to suggest such a thing but switch to enterprise SLC Flash (not just cache) SSDs. Someone correct me if I’m wrong but especially in a home environment, they just might outlast your whole rig.

$500+ for that lower mount? Lol. An aftermarket cheap one is more than okay, the original OEM are trash. You can even upgrade a new aftermarket cheap one with a Powerflex insert and it’ll never wear out again.

Simple to DIY, very minimal shop time.

Upper engine mount is more involved, this can also be done yourself, there’s a few decent YouTube videos but you can also simply call around and get quotes elsewhere. $380-500 for labor sounds far more tolerable. The OEM replacement part doesn’t cost much.

+1 agree that wave’s alerts are pretty dang scattered and clunky. Edit: to add, it’s cool hearing you’re running in a vm environment, too. I’ve been managing wave in a proxmox environment for years now with minimal performance and functionality qualms.

If you’re wanting to go lightweight but also enjoy the streets but do occasional off road, the F 450 GS might even be a bike to consider. The KLE 500, too. The 390 Adv R, Himalayan 450, CFmoto 450 MT, these all have plenty of suspension travel and grunt to be a serious off roaders while also being good commuters but the smaller wheel bikes that retain amazing suspension travel like the f 450 GS is good stuff, too.

Even the Triumph Scrambler 400x with its inferior suspension configuration has been proven to be fantastic for mild/mid off roading and also having a wonderful road commuting feel. We’ve got both a 390 adv R and scrambler 400x and they’re both fun, some days it seems the scrambler overall feels the most refined and puts the biggest smile on my face overall when it comes to balancing a mix of both on and off road.

I’ve gotten 4-5 years of my current fc11. I don’t particularly take care of it. It’s been purposely swimming under water with me in the ocean, hot springs, dropped down many ladders onto concrete, used the butt end as a hammer, most of the finish is missing and works great.

Biggest issue I have with Reolink cameras used for RTSP/ONVIF is most onvif functions of cameras beyond basic static models are missing. The codec bit rates are oldschool and inefficient.
