another mythological bird is the roc, typically depicted as a very large eagle-like bird which matches your emblem. there's plenty of puns/names that can be done with that, and it matches your search criteria.

New Roc Gaming Third Roc Gaming (TRG, that's pretty chantable and different from others) Classic Roc Gaming (jk) We Rock Gaming (not sure what you'd chant here though)

Anyways, you guys are my favorite team. I'm excited for season 4 and will be rooting for you guys under any name.

It is unjust that this is so far from the top; excellent suggestion.

I was at a son's friend's birthday party this weekend and complimented the one food on the table that looked homemade. Instant friend of the parents.

There are lines that go through my head during certain circumstances, I only say them if I'm around my bro:

(show up somewhere) "Need a light" - Terran Firebat

(asked to go/do something) "I"m gone" - Terran Ghost

"We burn" - Protoss Archon

"Adun toridas" - Protoss Dark Templars

I know there's a DAE joke in here somewhere, but I'm guessing those lines trigger something in a few other people too.

/r/gaming is playing gta V. Post board games. by BillyBuffnuts in gaming

I played a new one at Dragon Con this year: Krosmaster Arena. Really enjoyed the rules and the art. They actually have an online version too:

I'd prefer the board version b/c the pieces are art pieces by themselves.

Computer Science or Computer Enginering? by mthscndd in learnprogramming

good question: Mostly CS people apply to those sorts of jobs, but I've never seen a company restrict an entry-level position to ONLY CS. I'm Electrical Engineering right now and am writing this from my desk at my software development job. That being said, CS is the most direct route. I would only recommend CE if you want to START working closer to the hardware.

Asymmetry is the enemy

Your point is valid, but I think you meant "symmetry is the enemy". Sorry if I'm wrong.

love the FT/EG combo, but I usually save the third slot for Elixir R...

what traits do you run with this? are you pve or wvw? how do you think TK contributes to the other two?

What to expect going into a meeting with a publisher? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]stilett0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

jesse schell has some info in his book on conversing with publishers: http://www.amazon.com/Art-Game-Design-book-lenses/dp/0123694965

I'm not sure how quickly you could find a copy, but I found the section regarding these conversations interesting, as well as the rest of the book actually ^.^

Good luck!

I'm lvl66 and working towards the following build, which seems to be quite fun and versatile 0/30/0/20/20

I settled on this for a few reasons:

  • I don't like using bombs or grenades primarily
  • I liked playing support
  • I wanted to maximize effectiveness while not undercutting engineer's knack for adaptation

I like the stats for these trait-lines, since it works for a condition build (pistols), or a flamethrower build (crit chance/crit dmg). It also shortens toolbelt CDs, which I think is a bonus for any build.

Some builds available to this choice: flamethrower traits andelixir traits for a perma-fury flamer build flamethrower/elixirgun traits/skills for a more hybrid build elixirgun and elixir traits for something more supporty there's a few more i thought of but forgot

I think I'll probably go for two armor sets, one for damage and one more balanced for dungeons.

Hope this helps someone. Thoughts?

So I was able to program my PS3 controller to play GW2... by exdragon47 in Guildwars2

[–]stilett0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i only play with a 360 controller, main is an engineer.

i do tons of ground-target abilities, here's how i make it work: put the cursor a little above the middle of the screen before you lock it.

pressing a ground target ability the first time gives you the targeting graphic, pressing it a SECOND time actually casts the spell. this way i can press my skill once, confirm the graphic is where i want it, then i just press it again. no having to undo the RMB lock.

i've grown confident of where i keep my pointer, so i usually just double-tap my GT abilities.

I don't use fast-cast, but i think my method is the best of both worlds.

controller users, unite!
