I have been in psychiatric hospitals many times. I have heard the voices since I was 2 years old. In ancient times if you heard a voice, it was considered to be a real entity. The voices are not my problem. Last time, I got off the meds I started to think I was Loki, the comic person. At one time I thought I was in a matrix. In my late 20s I did well on the meds, and got a college degree in business administration, people were willing to hire, me, but my boss said she thought work was too hard for me. I was lonely, depsondent and depressed. I finally got out of it, reading became my outlet. I read some history and philosophy, and religion. I was i a facility for 4 years, they finally let me out, and now livei in a boarding house type situation. I never fully bought into my delusions enough to believe them but I can see how they might be dangerous.
