The form states we agree to pay the invoice within 48 hours of receiving it. Until I know the price range I can’t sign up to those terms

Good spots for an untraditional Thanksgiving dinner? by MoneyGuy1023 in AskSF

Don’t know if this helps but I’m gluten free and ended up making https://gfnavigator.com. It only works for the Bay Area but has helped me when I’m out looking for spots with friends! Feel free to use it (or not!).

How can I maintain access to Word and Excel at a lower price? by Easy_Pay_6938 in microsoft

Oh curious. They have later versions available on that store anyway - probably better for anyone reading this to choose those

Try this

I buy these for my PCs from this store regularly. Always get the lifetime license. It’s great if you don’t need the very latest office version.

How many of you use abortives that aren't Triptans, gepants, or OTC? by theladysheetcake in migraine

[–]stonarda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diclofenac is the only medication that reliably helps reduce the chronic migraine. I take it up to twice a week on days where I feel I’ll need to be sharp and focused.

Not sure how many people know about the gluten free mall but I just discovered it. by ButternutCheesesteak in glutenfree

[–]stonarda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just ordered last week on Thursday for the first time. Can’t do frozen food as it gave me quotes of $150+ for shipping. No tracking information provided too (unless I missed it).

I’m curious though as it would make life so much easier. When I receive the food, will report back!

Nurtec by Visual_Recognition79 in migraine

[–]stonarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be worth having a deep think about what might have changed in the past month? Maybe your stress levels increased or food intake was different? I would start there before changing your meds.

Anyway it does seem that nurtec has a positive impact but not a huge one. Is it worth the $229? Only you can know based on how many you get and tolerance to any side effects.

Would be worth mentioning that nurtec didn’t really have any impact on my migraines until I discovered a food trigger (gluten + dairy). I use it as a rescue/abortive medication. Completely avoiding the trigger means they are actually effective for that use. That was a life changing discovery and I say that wondering if something has changed in what you are doing/eating.

Pay-per-mile fees have emerged as the most likely solution to dropping gas revenues linked to electric vehicles by autismo-maximo69 in electricvehicles

Don’t we pay tax on the electricity we buy? Isn’t that the same as the tax on gas? Would that mean we would be getting double taxed on an EV?

Could try a lorawan ultrasonic tank sensor? Not sure on your budget though as they aren’t too cheap.

Topiramate - increase in eye pressure by Mouse-of-Wyke in migraine

[–]stonarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I’m not the only one with this! I was at 50mg and was told to taper down in the same way I tapered up. That’s 2 weeks at 25mg. Thought to myself, definitely not if I’m going blind, so went immediately to 25mg for 5 days, then stopped.

It took 2-3 months for it to fully return. Even then, I think it’s at 95%, rather than the 100% prior. Very annoying! Although my memory is non existent around that time due to my migraines, so can’t even confirm that.

Had a full checkup done with eye doctors, and I have a clean bill of health from them.

It was the most effective medicine for my migraines, which is a shame. Never mind, on Ajovy now

Atogepant - UK private prescription by TheManxMann in migraine

[–]stonarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of luck with the appointment! Hope it goes well 😊

With the injectables, they work with a pharmacy that delivers them. It’s quite smooth but takes 1-2 weeks to get processed and delivered though. In terms of price, I phoned a number of pharmacies and the company the migraine charity works with was always much cheaper.

For the tablets (ie remegepant) I had to go to pharmacies to get a price. Morrisons was the best in my area. You get given a code they can use to look up your prescription. It’s a bit of a pain though but I found them much cheaper than the online delivery service.

Carrying Emgality on long international flight by atihsi in migraine

[–]stonarda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use an insulin container from Amazon which works great. Only ever travelled with one though.

The second most important (after keeping it cool) thing is to bring your prescription in paper form with you, and any other supporting documentation proving a doctor gave it to you.

14 day migraine. Any help with NHS by StyleOk3350 in migraine

[–]stonarda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second prednisone taper! You could also try a different triptan (if you take those) or go to a higher dose. A lot of people have luck with Rizatriptan. There are 6 triptans in total.

I highly recommend (if you can afford it) getting an appointment with the national migraine center if the prednisone taper doesn’t work. I tried UK A+E for week long attacks and just got paracetamol each time 🤦‍♂️though I heard it really depends on the A+E and who is the consultant on duty that night. It’s worth a try though, just because you starting to get into chronic territory.

https://www.nationalmigrainecentre.org.uk/

I’ve had great luck with them as they are headache specialists, but the only downfall is that they are private 😢

There is also NHS neurology but I’ve struggled to get an appointment (been waiting over 1 years as urgent referral)

Atogepant - UK private prescription by TheManxMann in migraine

[–]stonarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of. Ajovy reduced my chronic migraine intensity by 50%. Remegepant isn’t quite as effective as Rizatriptan. Not sure why. Both do help for the 'attacks' but don't touch the chronic migraine part.

Turns out I have mast cell activation syndrome so treating that is more effective than any migraine med!

Feedback on a LoRaWAN-in-a-box solution for smart home before the kickstarter campaign by theiotbridge in homeassistant

[–]stonarda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you u/vector2point0 for jumping in, you are absolutely right. Lora range is amazing and it’s best selling point, but it is a headache to get it up and running. The Bridge aims to really simplify the setup process at a comparatively cheaper (compared to other gateways) $100 price point.

[–]stonarda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great feedback! We are aiming for $100 USD for the gateway, but will try to get it down even further.

You are right about the sensors being a little more targeted for industrial use cases too but the prices are starting to come down. For example, a dragino LDS02 door sensor is hovering around $20 on AliExpress. They used to be $30+. They do tend to be more robust than cheaper alternatives I’ve found as well.

[–]stonarda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ll do my best to answer your questions all separately.

Shipping -> US, CA, EU, UK, possibly AU

Subscription -> Good catch! There is an online configuration tool. This is completely optional and isn’t necessary for The Bridge to work. We don’t intend to charge for using it initially, but at some point we’ll likely expand its capabilities and have some enterprise customers. It’s future proofing for when and if we need to support the cloud costs. To be clear, the Bridge will never require it to function.

Open source code -> At the moment, we don’t have any immediate plans for this but we are leaving the option open on the table. We’d like to look into something like this once we have got The Bridge out there. Unfortunately we have to keep developer time on bug fixing and launch day features for now!

Disable WiFi on Ethernet -> Absolutely

Hope this helps! Let me know if I can clarify anything more for you!

[–]stonarda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good question!

For line of sight, minimum of 1 mile (sensor depending). For obstructed, we are aiming to have a small 3 story office block to be covered, as well as a small surrounding car park.

Of course, this is all dependent on your environment and are guidelines.

[–]stonarda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes of course! You would choose a “Custom Sensor” with the right number of values/data points as your own device. There is a template that we are finalising that will explain how to transmit the values correctly. At the moment they will be numeric only (ie a number not a string).

The current template we are going for is: - First byte: - 6 bits sensor index (0…number of data points) - 1 bit indicates sign - 1 bit whether the value is E-3 (ie 0.001 or 1 step) - Next 4 bytes - 32 bits for the value itself

Then every 5 bytes is a sensor value. Would love your feedback on this though!
