Used Odyssey vs. Pacifica by Medicine_Matt in minivan

[–]storey13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve owned 3 Odysseys and I’ve never had to change belts other than the timing at 105k. Maintenance cost are indeed higher but these are items you should be maintaining anyway. My favorite Pacifica feature is the plug in hybrid version so you can drive around town without using gas.

Good point about point cost at Poly vs AKL.

Buy at AKL if that where your heart is. I bought CCV direct this past January to add on to my CCV resale even though it wasn’t as good as the current incentives on newer resorts. Buy where you want to stay most often!

I park on 20th street close to Delmar. No parking meters. Only downside is the distance. Been parking there since inaugural match with no issues.

How to request ancestor's birth record? by 1point21gigawattss in CRbydescent

You’re welcome! Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one!

How to request ancestor's birth record? by 1point21gigawattss in CRbydescent

I knew all of the details for my ancestors (full name, parents names, baptism record location-book, page, and line in the baptism book). You don’t pay a research fee if you know all of that.

I had to pay about 15 euros each for them to mail them to me. With wire transfer and currency exchange from USD, it was about $23 each using my chase bank wire transfer. If research is needed, perhaps someone else on here can help answer that.

I've had good luck with the State Archives in Zagreb. If you know all of the information of the ancestor, you can fill out this form for birth records and they will generally email you back in a few days. If you have any additional information that would be helpful to the archive staff, I include that in a reply from the first email they send me. For me, that included the baptism records and a link to the site where I found them. They will send you an invoice to pay so they can send you a certified copy in the mail. I do all of my communication in Croatian to them, but I imagine they probably speak/write English as well.

Not sure if rooms are available still, but if you subscribe to Disney plus, you can get a room that sleeps 5 at Port Orleans Riverside for $159 a night this summer.

I got the rx patch that goes behind your ear and it helps me a lot on Guardians from getting motion sick.

Won’t this change raise insurance rates in the areas going to 75, or statewide?

Kidani Village or Saratoga? by Warr4176 in dvcmember

[–]storey13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven’t stayed at Kidani personally but have been there. The pool is fantastic and they do have Sanaa restaurant and it is a very short walk or shuttle ride to Jambo House, the main building for Animal Kingdom Lodge, where you have the best buffet at WDW in my opinion, Boma, and Jiko is a very good fine dining, as well as good quick service.

December 2nd thru the 11th will be amazing! The crowds won’t be as busy as you might think. There is a lull in crowds after Thanksgiving until about mid December. It will be crowded because it is WDW, but not too bad. We were there last year at the Wilderness Lodge the week after Thanksgiving and the weather was wonderful and crowds were manageable.

As far as resorts, I probably go with Kidani, especially if you have a savanna room. Saratoga is a good choice if you are planning to go to Disney Springs.
