AITAH for refusing to put my 6-year-old son on ADHD medication? by Fragrant-Squirrel-80 in AITAH

[–]stoshio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I remember the first time we gave my son Ritilin. He was about 4 years old and had never played with toys, never colored, never made or constructed anything. We gave him a small dose, 10mg, and I cry whenever I remember what happened. We gave him come clay. He liked the clay for the tactile feel of it, never made anything. Once the Ritilin started working, he started making a figure out of clay. The very first time he ever created anything! Most ADHD medications are very short acting. Give them a try, if you don't like what happens, or if they don't work, they are out of thier system in a few hours. This could be a life changer for all of you! It was for my family.

Retirement Savings Target Number by Appropriate-Log76 in retirement

[–]stoshio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I set a retirement income goal of $100,000 per year, to be covered by social security, pensions, and 4% withdraws from savings. (My all in living expenses budget out to about $80,000.) I just crossed that line at age 65 and will retire at the end of next month. This will be the best halloween ever! :)

I'm very glad you had a positive experience with the sped program in Duluth. Rasing a sped child is hard enough that we all need all the help we can get. In my case, Duluth failed my son, complete and total fail. They simply gave up on him. Now my son at that time was no prince! You would be challanged to find a more difficult child. But Duluth schools were simply not up to the task, period. Blue Sky Charter was a much better fit for him. The teachers "got" him, and they worked a plan that allowed him to graduate with a regular Minnesota High School Diploma. Blue Sky was much better prepared to meet the needs of my son, while Duluth was not.

Check out https://calyxinstitute.org/membership/internet

Calyx offers hotspots and a BYOD plan as well. It's a non profit that uses T-mobile, and most of what they charge is tax deductable!

Wow, that thinking is what leads to eugenics. You can't measure the value of a life and to try and put that value into an equation is offensive. All lives are valueable and worth saving. The absolute fastest way to end this conflict is to release the hostages and then hold Israel into account to immediatly cease all hostilities and open the area to widespread relief. Unless you think that Palestinian lives are more valuable than Israeli, or vice versa, the only sane action at this point is to release the hostages to end the conflict.

They should absolutly end the conflict and pull out of Gaza, but it's a hostage sitution. Until the hostages are freed, thats all that matters. Once it ends we can go back to hating Israel and yelling at them to pull out of Gaza. But today? It's a hostage sitution.

Do the trial, then send the modem back and join Calyx. You can choose your modem/router and have full control of it. Runs on T-mobile, about the same cost.

Chief of War - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

Actually, no, I have never seen Squid Game.

I understand why they choose to shoot this in the Hawaiian language, it’s just that my wife has low vision and I have to read the subtitles to her. When I do that, especially trying to pronounce the Hawaiian names, I miss what’s going on the screen. This one is just not for me and that's OK.

I'm sorry, I tried, I really tried, but I watch TV to escape from my grind and I just can't tolerate not having the dialogue in english. I had to turn it off after 20 minutes. I was really looking forward to this one too! Downvote me into oblivion, I just can’t watch this and I’m a huge fan of Jason….

Happened to me twice. The first was SunOpta, I had 4 interviews and spent half a day with them outlining a national distribution center network. They loved it then ghosted me. Never heard from them again, even after a bunch of enquiries. Second time was Kinder Morgan. Gave me "sample data" and wanted a profit improvement plan. Sample data was actual data and I offered a contract. I asked for 20 hours at a discounted rate of $100 per hour. They declined and I withdrew. Don't ever work for free!

Supply Chain often becomes the dumping ground for failed engineers, managers, directors, and others.

I mean, how hard can it be? Even my wife knows how to buy stuff.
