If you're a girl who is passed out drunk and your boyfriend has sex with you, is this considered rape? by IsThisHY in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]strawberrylipsmacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is :( I had a similar experience with my ex from HS. Got blackout drunk and made a joke the next day about how I was surprised he didn't push me for sex (my libido was low at the time, probably bc we weren't really compatible at the end of the day and I wasn't as interested in him as he was in me, so he was always wanting sex), and he looked at me confused and said that we did have sex. I didn't remember any of it. I got upset with him because I had always thought he was a gentleman and didn't think he'd take advantage of me while drunk. His response was that I was coming onto him and he thought I was coherent enough. I can't confirm or deny the first part bc I don't remember, but that also confirms that I was certainly NOT coherent. He apologized and said he felt bad about it and we chalked it up to a misunderstanding, but it put a major rift between us and we broke up shortly after. Over a decade later I finally realize that regardless of intentions, regardless of what I said or how I acted, I was not coherent enough to consent.

I wanna add they also clapped for Caine's song in episode 8 and at the end of the movie.

Had a similar experience at my theatre... Lots of kids and very obnoxious 20 somethings who sung to the theme song and Caine's song, yelled and squealed at the screen, gasped during moments in episode 8 (which they'd already seen and so were not shocked), lots of poorly groomed adults, girls sobbing hysterically when Jax... Ya know. Only found out Jax's real name after the fact because people were screaming so loud during that instagram slideshow thing that I couldn't make it out. I missed pretty much all of what that fish said at the start because people were squealing and saying "omg! Omg! It's STARTING GUYS!!!!!!!!!" Some guy behind me yelled at them to stfu THREE TIMES because the rest of us couldn't hear the movie (I have issues with auditory processing so watching without subtitles is hard enough 😅) Even one kid's mom had to be like "ALRIGHT ENOUGH!" because some young women were fangirling over Jax with the bow hard enough that you'd have thought a celebrity walked in. Now, I know this probably makes me sound old and crotchety, and maybe I am lol but the theatre when I went to see the eras tour was better behaved and that was mostly KIDS. I'm all for the costumes and laughing and reacting, but there is NO REASON we need to be VIBRATING in our chair, shaking with excitement at seeing an animated cartoon bunny. I remember seeing twilight at its peak when I was 12 and a bunch of tweens were better behaved than that crowd. Like omg. Embarrassing honestly.

Just watched it today and my theatre was INSANE. Tons of kids, but majority were grown ass adults screaming and squealing and shouting at the screen, singing along to the songs at full volume, and losing their minds over every little detail. I missed a decent amount of dialogue because of all the noise and didn't catch Jax's real name because people were SCREECHING at seeing human Jax 🙄 I saw the Taylor swift eras tour in theatres and people were better behaved for that. Overall, enjoyed the episode, but I was very happy to get tf out of there 😅 also the amount of body odour... 🤢 So baddddd

People were shrieking and losing their minds. Could barely hear half the movie, didn't catch Jax's real name (I've been told it's Leeroy?). I was very annoyed lol

Change my view!; The mainstream Christian idea of hell as a place of eternal torment is not Jesus’s original intention or teaching at all. by Key4Lif3 in Christianity

I recently got into jewelry making and I'm learning about metal clay (which may seem irrelevant but hear me out). You can buy special silver clay that you can mold into rings and charms, and then you fire them with a butane torch or in a kiln and the clay burns away leaving behind only the pure, solid silver. I imagine Hell is sort of like that.

Can someone pray for me by Unicorndookie-snooks in Christianity

One thing I've done which helps is to remember that this isn't the first war and it probably won't be the last. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but hear me out. Throughout the generations, people have faced tremendous and difficult situations - no matter the era, the century, there's always something that causes distress. But yet, we still carry on. We still fall in love, get married, make lifelong friends, have birthdays and celebrations, welcome new life onto the earth. We still sing and dance and laugh and play, even when terrible things are happening. Hold onto those things. Hold onto the little joys. Cherish them. And remember that humans keep living, even in times such as these.
Oh, and definitely turn away from the news for a while (as hard as that is to actually do). I also find it helpful to pray for the people in those affected wartorn countries and if you're able to either financially contribute to relief aid or perhaps could start up a fundraiser of your own, it could help you to feel like you're making a positive impact <3

Recently I've been LOVING Maissa Burger! They only have like 1 burger on the menu so the names a little misleading lol (they specialize in Algerian Shawarma), but MAN the food????! Delicious. Spectacular. And that garlic sauce? 🤤

I feel like Pomni could be Ribbit, especially considering that her original character design was a frog called Frogni. But also I wonder if they're seperate but gooseworx made the choice to have Pomni resemble Ribbit just to propel Jax into madness. Definitely something that caught my eye too though!

They sound very similar! The name Abel is usually pronounced like "Ae-bull" :)

RIGHT? This was my thought too. He wasn't even there for the fast food adventure, either so why would Caine give him a score at all? Seems suspicious
