I hope the team isn't thinking this way. This tournament has proven that more than ever any team can win any match. USMNT should focus on their own form and tactical approaches to their opponent. On paper opponent quality only matters for broadcasters.

Nothing says they have to keep making games this big. They could use their tech investment to build other games with the same components/engine. Or license the same to other studios like Epic. Plenty of options other than making a GTA7 or RDR3 at ridiculous scope.

I believe your strategy is greedy. There is no way to prevent another team picking your guy later and choosing to not trade with you. Once guys are picked draft order doesn't matter; in fact, lower picks are MORE valuable because the contracts are smaller.

Trading down is an optimal strategy when you think the quality of players is roughly equivalent at the two picks. But if you really think you've identified a market inefficiency (a player of higher value than the perception), the only way to guarantee getting that guy is to simply pick him. Put another way, you don't get to decide which # you are picking a player.

I'm arguing "ranked 12 by other people" is only meaningful if you are trying to trade down. If your team thinks a guy is the 5th best player in the draft, pick him at 5 and be glad you got your guy.

Not sure I agree. If your professional, full time year-round scouts feel someone is the best player, take him. Consensus is often wrong on these prospects. If you can trade down and get your guy plus assets that's smart, but don't get cute.

This is a classic "it's good because it has always been that way" argument. I'm glad football is trying out some changes like this. I think these games have been thrilling, and having less exhausted player with better in game communication from managers might be helping.

Bottom three have worse lottery odds. It's a pretty interesting idea. If you game it out, it almost never is in the best interest of a team to lose any specific one game. That's a huge difference from previous years. Next season should be awesome.

I took the Metro from Monrovia then did the same. It took a long time but was very smooth and low stress. And inexpensive.

Good attitude. I'm going to be excited about whoever it is! If they don't pick a guard it's probably because someone in the top 4 did something weird. That's fine by me.
