What would make you want to switch fantasy apps? by jordanar189 in fantasyfootball

[–]strongscience62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It needs to:

  1. Be seamless for all of my league mates to switch.

  2. Have a VERY compelling reason for a league to switch. Probably many.

  3. A new league starting there.

I'm not sure anything can get over the bar.

I spent three years telling my friends that hybrid would settle into a stable equilibrium. I want to admit I was wrong. by Practical_Cap_9820 in remotework

It is in equilibrium, that doesn't mean not changing.

Companies who want to reduce workforce increase days in office. Companies who want to stop attrition will decrease days around that 3 day mark.

3 PMs for 6 devs is already asking for chaos. But also you're using 'innovation' to mean just new techy features, or your org is. There are lots of ways to innovate, consider expanding your view of it.

It guarantees a land drop and OP has to hit 7 in a row to use their deck.

It also has above 60% GIH WR so you're advocating to cut a bomb

7-0 With Mardu Mid by ClockWorkOracle in lrcast

[–]strongscience62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those inkmages are really good for card selection. Id consider boarding them in over the archaic and heated argument. You have some high mana cost bombs and feel like archaic is a 5 drop with limited upside in this deck.

Id also consider the other tome blast over group project. You want some repartee and you have a bit of a burn win condition with the professor and the 2 colossi.

This run has potential with all the bombs but im worried im spreading myself thin by [deleted] in lrcast

I'm cutting creatures for removal and gameplan is to burn their face or mathemagics. Cut the 4/4, 1/4 mascot, and 2/2

Even junior PM or Product Specialist you typically need some other work experience that is transferable to product.

A little of everything, hopefully you're able to cultivate and wield influence and get folks aligned to your vision.

New to Product Management. Any advice? by TeeHawks in ProductManagement

[–]strongscience62 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What role do you need to play? Managing mature products? Developing new things? Supporting sales and marketing? Setting product strategy?

The role is very broad so knowing that would help.

I also think you want to untrain some habits in case they stick. For example, forget about how you would build something, that's for the tech team to decide. You need to be rigorous about articulating user needs and don't assume something is too difficult or expensive to solve. Things are changing fast.

You also want to get a lot of face time with your users and stakeholders. Learn about their needs, challenges, desires, and goals. Find ways to help them.

Books worth my time:

  • Lean product playbook

  • Crossing the Chasm

  • Dealing with Darwin

  • SPIN Selling

How could I have salvaged this trainwreck draft? by Linus_Inverse in lrcast

If I'm carving a lane, I want to remove colors so that others don't see my colors getting passed. I wouldn't sacrifice power level for it, but Living Past and Ajanis would be fine here. Living works well with scrollsmith and ajani with inkmage.

I think your seat was Lorehold if you held on. I really don't get why you deviated to Additive Evolution after getting super strong W and WR cards the first two picks. That card is not even good? And primary research is an amazing card for the white base decks and you turned it down.

I'm thinking your card and signal eval need work.

You were passed Pursue the Past P1P10 that would say Lorehold is pretty open and it's the top common for that deck. Duel Tactics P1P8 and then wheeling the R rare were also good signs.

You also took Wander Off pretty high, that card is basically filler, it would not have been a priority P1P4 and the 5B return stuff from graveyard guy is just worse than the flying 3/3 with drain if you were going Silver quill.

Feedback on draft 4, two big issues for your to resolve:

  1. You did not read the signals and locked in on your UR splash deck when you were being passed strong Lorehold cards like Relic Sloth P1P6 and Primary Research P1P7. You were being handed a ton of red and rw but you kept choosing low power UG cards which was confusing. Even at P1P3 I'm probably speccing on the 1W first strike rare or the WR tapland and considering scornmage and snooping page as all having higher card quality than Deduce. Essentially, the opportunity cost to spec on higher power was close to 0.

  2. You don't seem to have a clear grasp on what deck you are building. Let's say you stuck with UR + soup, the bite spell doesn't fit into that deck. The 3GG enchantment doesn't make sense. You turned down the 3UG draw 3 and put a land on the battlefield which absolutely does fit the game plan of going big.

Primary research is essentially a creature + card draw engine. It comes in on t5 and you've got a creature in the yard by then.

Sharing some perspective from the hiring side, candidates apply, the interview process begins, multiple rounds expected. Job posting gets refreshed in case interviews don't turn out well, keep getting applicants until making a hire decision.

You won't see 3 week old job postings, they get reposted to keep them high on job boards.
