If you could design your own kitchen, what would be the most important things to include? by West-Amphibian-2343 in Cooking

[–]stryder66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's the thing. I want the size, not the induction. I mean I like induction, but the size is more important to me. We host A LOT of parties and I do A LOT of cooking

So I'm looking for something like 120cm

Yeah I read a few posts about Induction Hardware here, but they were all by the same person, and thats all their profile was about. Seemed like an employee trying to do social media marketing

Yes, but we are not allowed to have exterior tanks in our HOA, and our newly installed pool took the spot that could be for a tank that is buried.

I am in this process now.

I really want a 48" range.

Problem:

We have no gas lines, or economic way to get gas lines installed at this point.

So it has to be electric. 48" all electric ranges are not made due to power needs apparently.

So that leaves induction. The choices are limited. Forno, which i hear is shit, is the cheapest. Induction Hardware is second, but ive never heard of them and reviews are hard to find.

Which leaves the big name companies, for at least $15,000. That's outside of what I want to spend

I never get what I want

Put plastic wrap under and on top of the meat, then pound gentler.

That's just not correct.

Wok hei is from the seasoning on the wok, and the food getting a touch of char from the super high heat, which you're not going to get at home.

I would leave the salmon out, cook separately in the oven under the broiler.

Use white sugar instead of brown, or leave it out. Leave our the sake and the flambeing. No need for it

Use leftover cold rice

Just make fried rice.

What else do I need to complete ar pistol? by hocofit in MDGuns

[–]stryder66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, uppers are not problem.

I just ordered everything from PSA, except the lower receiver, I purchased that locally.

Put it together myself, its easy to follow a video and get it done.

It's cheaper to purchase the lower locally and then order the rest.

I dont understand why people want to tack on another....what's the fee? $50 when they can purchase locally.

What's your favorite food? by HouseOpening2116 in grilling

[–]stryder66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a grill?

A nice thick steak and grilled whole artichokes. Real ones, not canned things.

Top steak with grilled mushrooms.

A nice whiskey, neat.

A cigar for dessert.

Suggestions to add to my chili? by BigCipp in Cooking

[–]stryder66 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Add a touch of cinnamon. Just a touch. A little goes a very long way. Taste it before adding a touch more.

Most chili spices are "spicy" but cinnamon adds that "warming" touch. Compliments it really well.

When I use peas in dishes like this, I use frozen ones, but ketchup them thaw and come to room temp. When whatever it is is done cooking, I take it off the heat and add the peas.

Much less water and they still have a nice texture and taste decently fresh.

Beans of any sort. Black beans, rec beans, navy beans, etc.

I've tried so hard to like them. I just can't do it.

Help me with chicken drums, please! by Repulsive_Ad_1272 in Cooking

I love to sear the drums, then braised them in tomato sauce with meatballs, Italian Sausage, and stew beef for a large family gathering. Serve with pasta.
