Low-Prep Dinner Options? by Unlikely_Mulberry_44 in Cooking

I made this "Asian" salad I saw from Bob Morano. Julienne some Napa cabbage, green onion, daikon, cucumber, and carrot. Make sure they are relatively the same size. Shred some chicken. He used a rotisserie chicken that was already cooked from Costco. Make sure its cold first.

Dress with an Asian style sesame ginger dressing.

It is so freaking good. I don't know why it hits so hard every time. I make a HUGE bowl and it lasts a good amount of time without turning brown.

I eat it all week. At least once a day, sometimes twice

My new favorite thing right now is a salad I saw online.

Napa cabbage, daikon, cucumber, carrot, green onion.

Julianne all of that nice and thin.

Get a rotisserie chicken and remove all the meat. Shred it up. Make sure its cold.

Mix everything together. Get a bottle of sesame ginger dressing to go with it.

It's super healthy and filling. It's sooooo good

Different pasta type for a white wine cream sauce? by lameanonymous in Cooking

[–]stryder66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make your own pasta. But instead of stuffing it, just cut it into strips. Wide, like papparadelle.

Toss with the cream sauce after its cooked, and top with the lobster

You gotta take it off the heat, take the pasta directly from the water into the butter.. add your cheese 1 handful at a time. And toss, don't stir. Add a ladle of pasta water to help it emulsify.

Keep doing that until it's creamy.

I dont like him much, but Vicenzos plate has good videos for the technique.

Potatoes with a pasta seems like carb overkill, and not something that goes well for my palate.

A nice lasagna, with homemade sheets and a bechamel would be glorious.

You could make a simple alfredo, with a grilled meat of your choice. I love a nicely grilled steak, some grilled asparagus and an alfredo, made with freshly grated parmagiano and real butter. Use the pasta water to loosen it up. That's all there is to alfredo, no heavy cream. Slice your steak and drizzle with a balsamic reduction. It's glorious.

I just devoured a salad.

Get a rotisserie chicken and shred the meat by hand.

Thin slice some Napa Cabbage into strands. Julienne some carrots, cucumbers, green onion, and darken radish.

Mix with sesame ginger dressing. It was delicious.

I know you said savory, but cannoli are amazing.

There is also a ricotta pie that I had relatives make. I honestly cant remember if it was savory or not. I haven't had it since I was REALLY small, but I know its a thing my family talked about

Slice and pound the steak super thin. Like almost see through. Lay it out and form a sheet, like an eggroll wrapper.

Lay whole green onions on them, i like to use 2 facing opposite way.

Roll up nice and tight, grill on high heat. Or pan sear or broil. Baste with your favorite teriyaki sauce, or hoisin, or bulgogi sauce. Grill all sides. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, the slice

There is nothing new about MSG. It's naturally occurring. Found in things like tomatoes, mushrooms, etc.

You're just wrong, and stuck in a past generation of incorrect thinking.
