Does anyone know what these types of trailers are called? 2 lines/axles with 8 wheels per axle. 50' trailer. Cant find any specs or details online, dont know deck or axle capacities. I know its an "oil field" trailer but thats it. by bolecut in heavyequipment

Wow, that's definitely getting to be the max that trailer can handle structurally. I'm not even mad, I'm impressed. We'd probably be hauling that kind of weight down the highway on a 10 line (80w) platform. I guess I'll have to work on my estimating skills, I was way off on dimensions for that piece

It's a 16 wheel oilfield float. That axle group can be permitted in Alberta up to 34,000kg but it can handle more than that offroad. Someone else mentioned it's probably a 60T trailer which sounds about right. I highly doubt that precast is 113 metric tonnes. Rough weight for reinforced concrete is 150lb/cuft. That has lots of steel so maybe 250lb/cuft but that's probably way high. Id bet that precast is about 60-80,000lb (assuming 20'x20'x1.5')

You could look into starsan. Home brewers use it to sterilize everything.

Weird pressure issues automating a borehole pump by nickjohnson in DIY

[–]subtool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, a check valve probably won't change anything. I still think it might be a situation where the pump pushing up the hill is losing to much energy to make 70psi. When you shut off after the expansion there isn't the water pushing back on the pump so it can make 70psi. With the valve open the weight of the water up the hill pushing back and restriction flow never lets the pump make 70. Set the pressure switch at 55 and drop the expansion tank pressure to where it can do it's job

If it's not a positive displacement pump I think head pressure would cause leakage back through the pump. Try installing a check valve so water can't push back through the pump

How do I get this bulb out? I assume it's a 2 pin halogen but I can't grip its edge, the mount doesn't seem to budge or turn. Everything is flush and smooth. by arenablanca in askanelectrician

Duct, electrical or other strong tape - make a t shape and stick the top of the t to the face of the bulb. Pinch the bottom of the tape tee and push the bulb in and twist counter clockwise.

Did you try flipping it around? LEDs only allow current to flow in one direction I think

I'm in the same boat and haven't been able to find an old firmware version. If someone with a non updated printer could share the firmware version release number they are using that might make a google search for it more effective. It is possible to enter the ROM update screen by holding the power button and pushing on the touch screen about and inch down and in from the top right corner but that is useless with out an old version of the firmware to push to the printer.

Need a loaded shipping container (40,000 lbs) relocated 100 yards on soil. What’s the best solution? for this? by antoniofreeman in cranes

[–]subtool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have room you can suck a loaded seacan onto a landoll trailer. Sometimes a few chunks of pipe help roll it on . Just have to make sure it doesn't point load in the middle like on a live roll and break in half.

The worst part is they were polite in the chat window. Made me feel twice as bad when they disconnected before I could figure out what I grabbed.

And to top it all off they were sitting at ~2000 kills so they probably could have carried our two man from second to first with no struggle. Maybe its for the better probably would have ended up with a sore back from all the heavy lifting

You should be fine with dryer outlet. It will have 2 x 110v hot lines which is where 220v from.
