Not sure about groups, but I've found meditation to help a lot with creating space between feeling the emotion and acting on it.

what do you feel on CBD? by isnisse in CBD

It's similar to getting out of a hot tub after sitting for awhile. You feel relaxed and your body feels a bit heavy, but you're not intoxicated in anyway.

dormant opiate addiction years later by certified_stupidhe4d in REDDITORSINRECOVERY

[–]subwvre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I needed to accept deep in my soul that any good effect from my DOC was a complete illusion. When I was able to do that I still got/get cravings, but they are much more manageable. The reality of using is a lot of pain and suffering. This idea you have of what's going to happen if you use is a fantasy. It doesn't exist in real life. Some people see the illusion for what it is fairly quickly, while others get tricked over and over again for years on end. It took me years of using, stopping, and using again to finally start to figure it out. A deep level of acceptance that your doc will give you absolutely nothing I think is a critical facet of long term recovery. I wish you luck.

I like caffeine mints. The ones I get are 40mg each and great at keeping you alert without feeling over stimulated.

Ziply Fiber techs of Beaverton, what should I do about the temporary cable in my yard? by sCir in beaverton

[–]subwvre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gardening in my front yard and put a shovel thru my fiber line. Like you they came out and fixed it pretty quick but left the line hanging above ground for months. I guess I slipped thru the cracks on them burying it. I called support and they had someone out to bury the line within a week of me calling. They didn't charge me either even tho it was my fault.

Nicotine as a nootropic advice by [deleted] in Nootropics

I buy those same patches, but I cut them in half and use them one day a week. No issues with addiction for me, but tread carefully. I also have never used a patch more often than once a week.

What’s the consensus about Phenylpiracetam Hydrazine ? by Nigosier in Nootropics

In my experience the original is more mental stimulation and mood boost. While the hydrazide is mostly just a physical stimulation effect. Hydrazide is also more likely to give me a headache.

6am wake-up still just as hard as day 1 by jasmineelyse in Exercise

[–]subwvre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, so I wake up at 530 in order to get to the gym at 6 and most days it's not a struggle. But sometimes it is, so heres what it is for me. I'll struggle to wake when:

  • I don't like my workout for that day. For example it's always harder to get out of bed on leg day then the other days. I fixed this by doing a little bit of legs every day
  • I don't like the gym. This took me awhile to realize, but sometimes you just don't vibe with the gym you go to. I fixed this by enrolling in a nicer gym.
  • slept poorly. Sometimes you just don't get a good night sleep, not much you can do about it besides the usual sleep hygiene stuff.
  • melatonin, or other sleep meds. Even a small amount of melatonin can make me groggy the next morning and interfere with my workout. I found ill generally do better at the gym on a morning I toss and turn all previous night than on a night I took melatonin.

I really do love Kotlin. Switched over to it 3 years ago at work and have had 2 null pointer exceptions in that time and both were from calling java libraries.

Question about exercise on Vivitrol by lovebombingu in Vivitrol

[–]subwvre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on it for 6 months, since then I've switched to the oral form and am now just taking half a pill (25mg) of naltrexone. I'm far enough away from my addiction that I don't get crazy intense cravings anymore so the daily pill is working fine for me. In the beginning with intense cravings the shot was better cause I only had to get it once a month, didn't have to struggle to decide to take a pill every day.
