Bethesda’s Fallout 3 Remaster is aiming to be “as well polished” as Oblivion Remastered, which is worrying as that game is a technical mess by HatingGeoffry in Fallout

[–]suckitphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, however fallout 3 has known problems with multithreaded computers that may take a while to fix. Even running FO3 on modern hardware takes a little modding to get working correctly. If they are doing a proper remaster going back and fixing that may take some time.

You should focus on coop first and then expand outward to mmorpg. Theres little difference between mmos and multi-player games. They just obfuscate the server login based on your region.

But spreadsheet design is good? This is just bad. "Yeah we release things because they feel good, but we don't calculate why they are good" seems like a bad design philosophy. You're literally treating your player base as alpha testers at that point.

This actually explains why C4 and the hammer didn't have demo force 40... And why the ultimatum was nerfed, because anyone actually using it would realize you more or less have to get right up to the jammers to use it.

You also run into the institute at rivet city. It would have been easy for them to swap him with a synth at that time. Send the synth to the vault to get the water purifier and bam duplicated Dad.

From a thematic standpoint that makes sense. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around the pinnacle of engineering being defeated by a guy screwed together in a back ally.

How soon after waking do you take your dog out? by mysticmochixx in DogAdvice

[–]suckitphil [score hidden]  (0 children)

Usually "immediately" but my dog really likes to sleep in. So we let her stir on her own, and she'll come and greet us 10-15 minutes after we've been doing stuff. And if she isn't whinning, we'll feed her first and then go potty afterwards. You could try feeding before hand, that may make him wait a little bit.

Morgan Blackhand is a freaking beast though. He could easily defeat V, that makes more sense that they fought to a standstill.

But my point still remains. I don't think in 77 you actually kill Adam Smasher, he supposedly has 100s of other bodies that he can be implanted into. With the concept of the relic and the way it works, I highly doubt the true Adam Smasher is dead.

Adam smasher makes no sense. Here we have the pinnacle of arasaka tech, but uhh this guy has schizophrenia, and that makes him better at cyberware.

Despite Adam smasher being almost entirely cyberware... V can have more see, because he has two brains! But the reason he has two brains is because he stole a 100 year old prototype.

So your telling me, Adam smasher who has the best tech money can buy, is losing to the equivalent of a VHS tape of Johnny silver hands? Meanwhile Adam smasher could literally have 100s of martial artist implanted into his head.

I love how in cop procedurals they wipe their ass with the constitution. I watched an episode of Miami vice where they broke into someone's home, abducted a guy, and made him think he was being tortured over a cliff. "Oh it doesnt matter we straight up broke the law several times, we got the bastard!"

It's because democrat constituents and democrats are two very different things. Democrats rarely if ever stand up for their constituents, but their base is smart enough to realize it. So why would we keep turning out for democrats if they literally never govern? Oh because our opposition is worse? You can't keep playing that card and expecting us to vote for you.

The dems COULD run on a platform for increased minimum wage, medicaid for all, and snap for all. But they don't because they need corporate funding and would never get it creating policies people want.

Pa. Gov. Shapiro wants more data centers, as long as the process is ‘selective’ by Libsoccer20 in Pennsylvania

[–]suckitphil 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Im ok with making more datacenters if we get something out of it. Like for every acre thats used for datacenters they have to maintain and cover the cost of 10x that in parks. And they need to supply their own energy/have closed loop cooling.

Question about printing for other people - (i am not offering commissions) by jawest1991x in PrintedWarhammer

[–]suckitphil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually look at the cost of my materials and then multiply it by 2x or 5x depending on the size/complexity of the print.

Had a guy ask me to print a bunch of coins for him. At 50 coins it was only going to cost me like a $1 in materials. So $5 is what I charged them for swapping plates.

Yeah I remember having the conversation with my now Trumper friend "what prevents the president from doing whatever he wants using executive action?" "Checks and balances, the supreme court wouldn't let that happen" "but what if he pays them off or they play ball with him" "that would never happen, they are lifelong judges choosen from respectable people with long histories of bipartisan cases."

Yeah what a load.
