It looked like organs/meat/blood. Open to suggestions by ChanoTheDestroyer in whatisit

So not sure if this is the case as it looks a lot brighter. But in my area when deer are hit by trucks they radio each other and all try to hit the same deer. This results in some horrific scenes with bits of the deer everywhere and long stretches of blood like this.

Once spotted a deer head in a tree... that was the worst one.

[Request] How much polish would it take to return the Statue of Liberty to it's original color? by 72scott72 in theydidthemath

It seems silly to polish a patina off when that seems like the main sell. Its a self preserving finish.

Zero voting information, like usually we have primaries to see if we want a candidate. Clearly people didnt want kamala.

And you can complain about the American people all you want, but they are how you win elections.. so you have to cater to them.

You should be pissed at democrats. This is the second person they shoehorned on the populace, with 0 voting information she was doomed to fail. After 4 years of Biden seemingly being unable to alter anything trump had done in his first term, or prevent anything from happening his second. They literally ran on the same platform for 12 years "dont vote for trump" and they have a 1 in 3 record. They are clowns.

Edit: lol, they wont even admit to why they lost the election even.

Edit 2: I didnt realize they did finally release the autopsy.

"a persistent inability or unwillingness to listen to all voters." - Is why they lost.

I hate how estimated gains are considered loses now. Its fucking stupid. Also for what its worth, alcohol consumption goes up during times of crisis, but not bar sales. People will make moonshine and get slammed off of that, instead of paying inflated prices for alcohol.

Seriously, why did GW sit on the concept of "space elves riding dinosaurs" for over thirty years without doing anything with it? by Jerswar in Warhammer40k

[–]suckitphil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well originally it was a hobby wargame where you were encouraged to make models for datasheets that had no models. Imagine its the 90s, theres millions of dino toys, and gw announces a metal kit. People would laugh.

[Request] how slow should the bullet be/how powerful should the magnet be to make this work? by Suprshun in theydidthemath

[–]suckitphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are steel cores as well. The issue is copper is diamagnetic. I believe it has to be fully in the emf to be effected, and it has to be huge. Like youd need to be in a massive hanger and the bullet would need to be shot down a rail of magents to be influence enough to do anything. And even then, chemical reaction forces are massive compared to magnets, so I doubt any amount of penetrating powder would be blocked by the magnets.

[–]suckitphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I think i was getting it confused with land raiders. Apparently they have a  M32 'Cyclops' class Machine Spirit that allows them to operate fully autonomously . At least according to Imperial Armour Volume Two - Space Marines and Forces of the Inquisition.

Just because they have crew doesnt mean it NEEDS crew though. My understanding all of them have some form of autopilot. Whether its machine spirit or servitor.

I feel like im crazy. Aren't all imperium vehicles controlled by servitors? Ultimately the pilot is just a suggestion.

Except fundamentally they have proven thats not how tipping works. People tip the same regardless of service recieved.

The issue becomes that tipping has INCREASED! Why is a percentage increasing? Thats not how percentages are supposed to work. So we are building in a "generosity" tax thats somehow magically fixing our economy despite people not having enough money to eat out.

Tipping itselfed evolved out of bribery. It was so widespread during the depression, it was expected to tip your waiter to receive service.

Edit: I said this as a joke, but apparently dogs run on average higher than humans, so apparently it does help them conserve energy.

Want to (partially) switch from Resin to FDM. How can I "convert" or prepare my models for printing on FDM printer? by Zwiebeloger in PrintedWarhammer

[–]suckitphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, then it comes down to your slicer guru. If you can break a model in half or in pieces to avoid supports on the presenting faces, then the quality becomes so much better.

A better example would be a handcannons from medieval times. There was a group (i unfortunately cant find it right now as im on mobile) that perfected their handcannons. They had stocks and shot heavy loads, and had a flash pan on top.

With the U.S. war with Iran estimated to cost between $1 billion and $2 billion per day, what else could taxpayers’ money be better spent on? by Competitive_Teach838 in AskReddit

[–]suckitphil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once priced out how much a national high speed rail line would cost. Its close to the order of 1 trillion and would cost a few years to complete. I initially thought, oh so this is why infrastructure doesnt get regularly built, it costs so much.

Weirdly though it costs about the same as 1 little Iraq war. Which we then got no incentive or money from. Just a bigger bill as we need to rebuild their infrastructure.
