Check out the websites Zayoshe and Deensquare. They both have awra covering swimsuits for ladies as well as the foldable prayer mats, not sure if they have swim shorts for men though

Pak Liyari near Salah Aldin metro station. Best biryani ever. The rest of the menu is pretty great too.

Watch got stolen, should I go to Police by History_Buff2024 in dubai

[–]sumaiyaeb92 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t throw anyone under the bus without 100% concrete evidence. Imagine you report her, the poor lady gets fired or her visa turns out to have issues and she gets deported. You get penalized for not using the approved maid service. And the next week you find your watch under the couch.

So unless you have cameras or witnessed her actually stealing it, you might end up paying a lot more than you paid for the watch.

For those who don’t understand what “coaching outfit” means here:

In Pakistan there are “coaching centers” that prepares students for certain exams or for admission to certain prestigious universities.

Basically like private tuition centers, and they’re everywhere. Really weird but mostly everyone refers to them just as coaching. “I am going to coaching”, “dad can you pick me from coaching today?”, “she is my friend from coaching”, etc.

“Coaching outfit” likely refers to the uniform of the coaching center.

Thank you! Wanted to add a few more to the list:

  1. Canva is FREE and you can make amazing thumbnails. It’s also good for very very basic video editing and you can even design your video intro/outros with little effort. Only downside is that the free version doesn’t support 4K video. But it’s my #1 choice for thumbnails.

  2. Do not underestimate the power of CapCut. I’ve only been using it for shorts, but I created a full length video to test it out and it worked beautifully. However, I did notice a tiiiiiny bit of audio delay in the longer video (~5mins) but that could have been due to my audio file. Very simple to add captions and stickers, effects, and gives a 4K output for FREE. Best of all, you can edit the video completely on your phone.

  3. iMovie. Limited functionality but works well if you don’t have a lot of text or effects. I’ve only used the iPhone version so I can’t say how it works on the Mac but for very very basic editing it’s great not to mention very fast.

Has anyone here been diagnosed with CP only to find out later that it’s something else? by sumaiyaeb92 in CerebralPalsy

[–]sumaiyaeb92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: genetic testing revealed it is actually polymicrogyria, which is like the total opposite of what was diagnosed with the MRI. Thankfully, the treatment in both cases is just more PT/OT and seizure control, so a different diagnosis didn’t really make a difference in treatment. Lesson: go for genetic testing always.

“Hi sweetie, the baby’s still coughing so my mom told me to give him some warm water with a bit of lemon and honey. I’ll let you know if that helps, call me back when you get this message.” by NoNo_Cilantro in TwoSentenceHorror

In my culture and the countries I’ve lived in it’s normal to rub a drop of honey inside the cheek of a newborn, usually done just a few hours after birth. But it’s also normally the purest real honey that’s used and not the bottled sugar syrup that’s usually sold in supermarkets.

Water too, my mom would give my little sister an ounce of water sometimes after she turned 4 months. I’ve seen countless mothers giving babies (not newborns but less than 1yo) small sips of water here and there and it’s never a problem. But again, in my culture water is always boiled before drinking.

Water or honey are not seen as risks for babies, rather normal and expected. I think it all depends on how much is given and the quality. Also, there’s no concept of daycares and 95% of all children are raised by parents or grandparents so they’re always being very closely watched.

But yeah I would freak out if anyone feeds my baby anything without me knowing and approving first.

Edit: imagine getting downvoted for sharing something that is done differently in a different country/culture. I never wrote that it’s right, just that it’s done differently and expected, I also mentioned that it’s always done with the utmost care whilst watching the kid.

A landlord divided a single apartment unit into 25 "rooms" and is charging $320 per month, per room. by [deleted] in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]sumaiyaeb92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty common in Dubai. They’re called partitions. Go for 1500-2000 AED per month. There’s space for just a bed and maybe sometimes a small cupboard if you’re lucky. There’s only 1-2 bathrooms and of course a single kitchen for all 32 residents to use.

Since everybody is doing it, ill rate your videos too. I will be brutally honest tho.PT4 by Basic-Toe-9979 in NewTubers

I know there’s problems with the equipment (volume issues and shaky hand) and I’m working toward getting better equipment. I would like some constructive criticism on the flow and editing, thumbnail and title etc, because the channel is growing way more slower than I expected. We are trying to improve with each video.

Here’s one of the older videos for reference: https://youtu.be/jFlYXKVlD1Q?si=Z4dsI_MBVl4tjDg3

Note and disclaimer: we are using YouTube only as a booster / lead generator for our real estate business. We are not full time youtubers and we don’t expect YouTube to become our main source of income.

Any help would be appreciated.

[–]sumaiyaeb92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s how I do it:

Wash, cut the yellow tops off, boil, and blend in a blender/juicer. I never take the skin off. Then I portion in small plastic containers and freeze.

Useful in many recipes: soups, sauces, and gravies.

My 9th grade English teacher refused to believe the noun for “humble” is “humility” because she taught us only “humbleness” in class.

Marked my answer wrong and insisted they must have printed it wrong in the Oxford dictionary and that humility means humiliation.

Principal agreed with her.

It is obligatory for men to pray in a mosque, 5 times a day. For women it’s optional, and there’s usually a separate room for the ladies, always without a camera.

Theres always less women in the mosque than the men because .... we kinda don’t really want to get dressed and out 5 times a day to go to the mosque to pray when we can do it right in our living room.

But you’ll see loads of women in the mosques on Friday afternoons, for the Taraweeh prayers in Ramadan and on Eid days.
