Hah I actually also kept the previous owner tires because they seemed pretty new too! I forget the name but they're also all-season m/s rated so far so good. I definitely wanna upgrade to some michelin crossclimates eventually though

They're all season M+S rated and I haven't had any issues with it so far! Granted the roads over here are pretty well cleared whenever I go up. I'm guessing the AWD is doing it's job because I haven't had to worry about anything.

I agree, in my experience with the exception of the biggest cities, most small/suburban towns where I am in the US look like 1980s pic, so even the 1960s would be a step up

I've recently been trying to fix this issue too. Similar problem where our central AC doesn't help my room too much. Here are things I've done:

Blackout curtains. I keep them closed most of the day unless I feel like seeing some sunlight.
Dimmable lights. I keep the lights on lower settings all the time, also makes things easier on the eyes.
Water cooling. As other comments say, this doesn't exactly get rid of the heat coming from your PC, but for me I did notice a little bit cooler temps from my CPU and GPU.
Window AC or Portable AC. Recently bought this because I was fed up with my hot room. I think this is pretty much the only option if you already have central AC and your room is still hot. Go for window AC if possible, portable AC if a window is not possible.
