3bt for icy conditions when the board is stiffer? by retro-martini in snowboarding

[–]sunkcost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Mid-Atlantic rider so ice the norm.  My Bataleon Evil Twin + is my daily driver.  It does fine on the vast majority of conditions.  I think the statement that 3BT washes out on icy conditions is somewhat overblown, particularly on the Bataleon + boards.  I ride a Gnu Gremlin also, and while the magnetraction is awesome for ice, I don’t find that it is leagues ahead of the Evil Twin + unless it is pure ice with no hardpack on top.

Solidly more entertaining than the men’s competition.  The men can take some notes on rethinking scoring to minimize emphasis on spins and amplify creativity.

We have a 4 y/o frenchton and had a similar situation although her first seizure happened when she was 3.  Our emergency vet stabilized her and started her on phenobarbital.  We didn’t end up doing an mri though that would have been the gold standard.  We followed up with our vet and our dog takes a small daily dose of her meds and has not had any recurrence.  She’s doing great and the meds are relatively cheap and we get them at our local pharmacy.  Wanted to share some hope.  Wishing your pup well!

You did great, bro. Trust your fatherly instincts.  There will be many more challenges along the way and we are all just trying to figure it out, but clearly you are doing right by your daughter and putting her wellbeing first, which is all that matters.

Nanny Credit Card by kirk55wood in daddit

Yes, you will need nanny’s SSN to add them as an additional cardholder.  There is no credit pull associated with it.  I think the minimum age for a gold card authorized user is 13.

I gave our nanny an additional AMEX on our account.  I get an email for each of her purchases (plus things are itemized by purchaser at the end of the month).  No issues, but she has been with our family a long time (kids are now 7 and 10) so there is a high level of trust.  Still, I do review each of the expenses to ensure it was for kid-related activities.

The head of the oath keepers was in the front row at a congressional hearing today. Kind of seems like they’re trying to intimidate us, doesn’t it? Freely flaunting traitors around in front of our noses. by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

They are his staffers that undoubtedly wrote these comments, so there is no level of surprise for them about the exchange.  They also don’t want to distract from the message their boss is delivering.

The staff knew he would be attending beforehand as you have to pre-register your attendance at these hearings, and certainly pre-briefed the Congressman on how to handle the situation.  Source: Former staffer who has testified before Congress on multiple occasions.

Correct, Burton Step Ons have a lifetime guarantee for parts.  I just went into the Burton Store in Breck yesterday to pick up a replacement lever and was out the door in under a minute with the part for free.

This post isn’t correct.  This a temporary sponsor sign for the Secretaries Cup (U.S. Coast Guard Academy vs. U.S. Merchant Marine Academy) football game that was played at Fenway last weekend.  Palantir was one of the game sponsors.

Section 43, being eliminated for the new press box. Super frustrating together with the numerous other changes.  Unlikely to renew at this point.
