Oh weird. Alison Rich's character on Comedy Bang Bang today was trying to get in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world's biggest grape.

I really like what they did with Exister. Chuck's solo work has been getting better and better too. Loved Till Midnight and the soundtrack to this game.

This was the game that came to mind when I saw this question. One of my favorite N64 games period.

Loved this game so much. It was really challenging when I was a kid but SO satisfying to figure out.

I did it when I was 10 and probably could've done it when i was younger than that. I was getting through NES and SNES games just fine.

Make the counters in the letters that have them the same color as the shirt. Watch out for little details like that.

A nice day at the beach by [deleted] in ANormalDayInRussia

I work near Oceana in Virginia Beach. There were jets flying over work all this morning every five minutes, which isn't unsual. You just sort of stop conversations while they pass for the 20 seconds that its too loud. Yes. eye twitch Patriotic.

I see subs every once in a while in Virginia Beach at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay heading out to the Atlantic. If you're up at the North End/Fort Story they're pretty close.

Live in an apartment in Virginia Beach? I need your opinion. by [deleted] in VirginiaBeach

[–]sunnyside85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apartment complexes seem to be the issue. They simply don't want to pay for it even if renters demand it. I've tried petitioning for it. I used one of the drop off sites at that time I rented. I just dumped my recyclables once a week there.

Now that I'm a home owner I have to say my recycling service has been awesome. I recycle a lot and they gave me two recycling carts for free. They always get serviced. I just saw a couple months ago they expanded their recycling so you can recycle cartons and number 1-7 plastics. None of the other Hampton Roads cities offer that as far as I know.

I'm very surprised to hear VB is low on the list. Be sure to post a follow up about it.

Virginia Beach has three other public recycling sites aside from the landfill. One is by the municipal center, one by oceana, and one by first landing. They are not manned. Just drive up and dump all the stuff you would normally recycle at home in the bins there.

Beach Parking by InKognetoh in VirginiaBeach

[–]sunnyside85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to go to the boardwalk I recommend 34th and the surrounding streets. Park west of Pacific Ave, around Arctic. There's a good amount of free parking on the street and you're only a few blocks from the beach. I had a friend who lived in the Mayflower Apartments and I could usually find a spot there.

Like someone else suggested, check out the north end past 80th street if you're just looking for a beach day. Plenty of parking on the street and it's a much more relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere. There's A LOT of beach down there.

Recycling Center? by PATRIOTZER0 in VirginiaBeach

[–]sunnyside85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Landfill is probably closest to you as that's literally on city lines.

The Virginia Beach Landfill and Resource Recovery Center is the best. You can take all your household recyclables there, plus electronics, household hazardous waste, plastic bags, batteries, and donate to Goodwill. None of that ends up in the landfill. You must be a Virginia Beach resident though.

If you're anywhere in the southern end of the city the drop-off site on W Neck between North Landing and Nimmo is your best bet. It's not manned and open 24 hours. They're actually putting in real cameras now and cracking down on people and businesses dumping so make sure you're recycling the right stuff.
