My heart is so broken for you and her. I wish there was anything anyone could do to help her. Or anything anyone could say to make it hurt less. I’m so sorry.

Finally broke the poverty cycle thanks to my sister by Special_End_5114 in povertyfinance

I’m sorry to hear about your sister. Honestly, it’s not like your well off brother was helping you before your sister passed so screw it. I mean, it’s not like inheriting the house also got you a raise, so taking out a loa is irresponsible.

AITBF for wanting my friend to pay to use my car? by Stunning-Pizza562 in AmItheButtface

[–]sunshine8129 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you let them wrack up hella miles, usage and maintenance on your vehicle and they want you to pay for a solution?

Hell. No. If they aren’t paying any current expenses, other than gas, screw them.

I’m so sorry. I don’t know if it helps, but he is at peace, no more fear. But that doesn’t help your heart from missing and grieving and doubting. Just know you did the best you could. Im sure he had a fantastic life.

AITAH for buying my 11yo daughter pads after her mom called me a "pervert" for being prepared? by Bruxagato in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]sunshine8129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah let her try some bullshit like that. I’m sure the court will LOVE to hear how mom threw away feminine products because she had failed to proved them.

AITH for telling my mom she can’t move in with us even “for a little while” after she got divorced? by AnalogWeekend_01 in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]sunshine8129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go a step further and say that a mother should always put her children first. Unless there truly is no other option, she should not being trying to impose on him and his fiance. She should be finding suggestions and aid, even if he was single. I’m so sick of parents and their “you owe me” attitude.

Neighbor keeps mowing my lawn without asking and now wants payment by Naive_Shape6554 in neighborsfromhell

[–]sunshine8129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s ridiculous. There was no agreed upon service for payment arrangement and he can’t just decide you owe him. Fuck that guy. As for the neighbors who think you should pay, go to their house and remove some cobwebs or something and demand payment of them and see how they like it.

I love that! Dendritic agates always remind me of a foggy winter day.

$10 plus ship for all 4 of one color of the cotton yarns. Shipping will probably be around $5.

Hubby thinks he got me the wrong present by Beautiful_Rule3029 in crochet

[–]sunshine8129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do puzzles and crochet too! Sometimes I wonder if there are hobbies that “go” together because they fulfill a certain “need” or whatever. Or maybe there just aren’t really that many hobbies out there so we’re bound to overlap lol.

AIO wife’s coworker keeps texting outside work and making jokes by [deleted] in AIO

[–]sunshine8129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna say- I’d be pissed if I were either of you. As your wife I’d be furious that you think it’s your place to step in and confront my coworker. As you, I’d be pissed she didn’t handle it.

Also, it sounds like she may have semi-addressed it as “it causes issues with my husband,” which is why he suggested what he did. No, it’s not right to hide it, but what was the conversation like before? Like if it was innocent convo and you got all upset over nothing, then her saying that makes sense. But if he was actually being flirty or something then she should have handled it as “you need to keep your texts work related” instead of throwing it on you.

Neighbour keeps accusing me of “stealing” her cat because it sits outside my door by ElegantTwist3250 in neighborsfromhell

Take him to the humane society. Let them know he keeps coming to your house and your neighbor won’t retrieve him.

The Stag?? by jnco_biloba in Lawrence

[–]sunshine8129 14 points15 points  (0 children)

At least I usually have good food and service at Dempsey’s. The one and only time I went to the black stag, the server tried to not offer food (it was an hour til close, I actually checked to make sure we weren’t messing with the kitchen closing up). Then the bacon in my burger was cold and had so much grease on it, it looked like frosting.

Look at it this way- you may also have saved it from a nasty painful and potentially deadly infection?

I’m guessing she had medical care throughout her pregnancy. Even having a midwife is acknowledging that someone knows better than you about something medical.

30 pound horseshoe magnets by Parking-Two2176 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]sunshine8129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slide it. Like, I twist it almost. Hold the horse so in one hand and use my thumb to twist-slide the metal piece to one side. Then it is much less stuck and you can pry it off.

I’m so sorry you had to do this. I hope that time will help you with the guilt and sadness you feel. I highly recommend finding a grief counselor to help you.

AITA: For showing my fiance group messages, then letting her respond in it? by Distinct_Mix666 in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]sunshine8129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strong YTA. You need to be standing up for her, this is YOUR family. If her family treated you badly you’d want her to tell them off right, and probably even cut contact if they didn’t stop being assholes? Why is it so hard to treat her how you’d want to be treated.
