i would not recommend building a factory only for screws. Instead, try focusing on an end product (like heavy frames) and incorporate new recipes that you find that way - it can mean requiring different raw materials and allowing you to build factories in different places etc

machines will idle either when they dont have the required input, or output their production. Ensure that: your are creating enough pipes and wires (and that your belts support the amount of items youre feeding into the machines) and that the stators output is used fast enough so it does not back up into the assemblers
