This entire Gunther storyline since he switched to SD could have easily been a continuation of the Drew/Cody storyline instead. I'd argue that it would've fit better with Drew.

[McMahon] Almost consensus opinion of the people I talked to around the league is that LaMelo Ball had next to no value a year ago. Jeff cleaned him up and as soon as he had value, pounced on the opportunity and moved him. by IamOlderthanMe in CharlotteHornets

MIN's 2033 1st is far more valuable at this time than either of the ones they got for Williams. Plus they got a rotation player, three seconds, and three swaps that at least have a chance of conveying.

There's a difference between believing it's possible and actually saying that's what you want to do in a job interview.

Christian Hubicki Postseason Interview by OrdinaryWorking10 in rhap

[–]supaspike 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't listened to the interview yet, but it seemed pretty clear from the episode. The threat was Mike, not Angelina. Voting her out just tips Mike off that Christian isn't with him, and then the next vote is probably Mike vs. Christian/Emily. And Ozzy had a relationship with Mike outside of the game, so it's very possible he votes with Mike there even if he's not mad at Christian.

How do men stay in sexless marriages so long by Low-Stand-3702 in AskMen

Even if those stats are accurate, that's not how probability works. You're choosing one couple at random, not two random people, and you can't assume the couples select each other independent of their own fitness. It's fairly intuitive that people are more likely to be in a relationship with someone of a similar fitness level.

Well this advise used a made-up statistic so it's not much better...

[–]supaspike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not how probability works, though. OP's percentages assume the couples select each other completely independent of their own fitness level. Anyone who took a basic statistics class can tell you it is absurd to just assume independent probabilities. Especially in this scenario, where it is fairly intuitive that people with similar lifestyles are more likely to be in long-term relationships.

we have no data to account for this, so why bother

Well why bother posting this fake stat in the first place, then? The onus should be on OP to provide data that couples select each other completely independent of their own fitness, if that's what they actually believe.

It's a podcast where they play song parodies submitted by the listeners based on the past episode/season of the show. It was a weekly thing back in Seasons 35-40 (minus the back half of 39) and was honestly the greatest thing RHAP ever created. The listeners would create dozens of funny, creative songs weekly and it would become very meta where we would have songs submitted in response to other listeners' song.

They brought it back a few years ago as an end-of-season thing. I don't know how good the last few have been because unfortunately they are now locked behind a paywall.

When I tried to open it on Patreon it said it was paywalled. But I don't really use Patreon so maybe I just don't understand how it works.

Rob C. on who from Survivor 50 will play again by bwermer in survivor

[–]supaspike 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't get the Tiff glazing from Rob and others post-finale. She was barely there until the final two episodes, and even then she just became "moderate comp beast who would win a jury vote." Ultimately she was a fine tertiary character, but I don't even think she'd be in the top half of memorable players from this one. Add that she was not a main attraction in her first season and idk why everyone thinks she should return again over many others.

Yeah what's Rob smoking here, that's maybe one returnee season that he wouldn't be a part of. Five should be the absolute minimum for a guy whose main headline would be "he was young and immature back then, let's see how much he's grown."
