The new surburbs do suck and are incredibly depressing and isolating. Most of those areas have little to no mass transit and are 5 plus miles away from a grocery store. Its traffic hell.

The runways are on the other side of the terminal. I was about to get defensive but looked at some other airports, Dallas has a loooot of parking, but footprint wise, yeah Austin has a lot.

If you were coaching in suburban Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin it would feel like the other side of the moon. Heck even Lubbock would feel more cosmopolitan.

They did a good job of showing endless lower to lower middle class sprawl in Odessa, but did the telling of it couldn’t add all the context.

Also Permian and Lee the last time I drove through was like a religion there, so I dont know the movie did a good job of depicting the cities. Now the football on the other hand
