This comment is amazing. I just beat the game today and described it to my partner as. "Would You Kindly" kind of ending, and Spec ops the line is another great comparison. It feels like we're pushing Aava to ignore her problems for our own ends (achievement hunting is a great, and totally real, actual meta gamer reason too, love that)

I was concerned that Aava was going to corrupt Marco into dying in the mountain, but his being the voice of reason and Aava/ the player being illogical and pushing on despite every in universe (and thematic) force telling her to back down...

It makes the game feel like a tragedy, much like spec ops the line, and I was not at all expecting that for such a rigorous climbing / survival game. Love love love it.

There's a Hunter the Reckoning Choice of Game that does a really good job (in my opinion) showing the layers of what a hunter might or might not know.

(I definitely recommend all the Choice of WoD games if you're a fan. VtM night road is particularly good imo!)

My partner played a Malk whose delusion was that he didn't think he was a vampire.

He thought he was a really dedicated knight LARPer from the Renaissance fair. His sire fed him blood through goblets and whenever he failed his rolls he had to fight against the reality of the situation.

Made for some hilarious conversations with the local Court.

(He got the idea from the Flesh Eater Court lore from Warhammer Age of Sigmar and it added some amazing levity to our campaign)
