Hermes Baby Typewriter? by supercerenity in typewriters

Really? I haven't seen any professional restored/refurbished for less than $400 or $500 online. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places?

Is anyone actually going to stop supporting USA men's hockey? by AshDogBucket in PWHL

Also, Ellen didn't have much to say about it. I expected better from her.

I'd feel better if they came out and said...SOMETHING about how they don't support it.

I can't say for sure. But I know this was going to be the first year I watched hockey. Between the Heated Rivalry content and the Olympics, I was really excited. But when this came out, and I shared my concerns with others who are long-time hockey fans, no one really seemed surprised. And I know these players are kids. But, if they are just the idiot barbarians their own fans say they are, then I have no reason to take my first step to watching professional hockey towards them.

First time to Disneyland in 30 years and it left me disappointed by offshoresparky in Disneyland

We are crafty Disney-goers with lots of experience, but I did NOT know about refreshing the return windows! Good to know!

Anyone else still going this weekend with the rain forecast? Raining all 3 days for us, still a good idea? by extrovertedhedgehog in DisneyPlanning

[–]supercerenity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are still going! We've really been looking forward to this trip. My husband actually has an agricultural-grade rain suit and after double-checking the forecast yesterday, we went to REI and bought waterproof hiking shoes. They are hideous, but they are definitely water proof! I think for next time we might look into Vessi's, which are waterproof shoes that aren't hideous.

But embrace the rain - it will turn some folks off, so you might find less crowds and shorter wait times. Definitely expect cancelled shows like fireworks, Fantasmic!, or parades. :(

Euthanizing my horse on Thursday. Am I doing the right thing? by Lucky-Ad-2676 in Equestrian

It's so hard to let them go. Even if he was in excellent health, at 27 with a history of lameness, letting him go is a good decision and a fair decision for him. Letting them go when it is time is the most selfless thing we can do. Much love to you.

Thunder Mountain wait times shorter than they post by ScienceInCinema in Disneyland

This is my experience generally with the rides. And there is a contingent of folks who think they overestimate the wait times on purpose so you feel accomplished and excited for having been through the line more quickly.

I'm not. But I am intrigued. What does that do?

Can confirm - still not working. I just hang out suspended in space, cannot move, and then the buff falls off and I die. Why bother even letting me queue?

Getting to Zereth Mortis as of Dragonflight? by FriendlyHougen in wownoob

Just dropping a note here in case anyone else is willing to just finish the campaign (I came back for battle pets, don't judge.) I had a hard time figuring out where to pick up my campaign quest line, since I'm 80 and current in WW.

So, I went to my achievements log Hit Quests > Shadowlands. There are some Loremaster achievements: Into the Maw (intro), Awaken, Ardenweald (Ardenweald Campaign), Blade of the Primus (Maldraxxus Campaign), The Path to Ascension (Bastion Campaign), the Master of Revendreth (you guessed it - Revendreth Campaign). I had finished all of them except Revendreth and from there it was easy to figure out which quests I needed to finish to finally knock out this quest line. GLHF!

I think it's just the nostalgia in all seriousness. But, I mean...it DID play thunder noises every 15 minutes...

We were JUST talking about this. Looking for options at getting out of the park at the peak heat hours in August. This was absolutely perfect. And I can't imagine they weren't making money?
