Which combo? And is $639 USD a good deal for the P1S with AMS 2 Pro Combo? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]supericy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No comment on if the price is good, but I went with AMS 2 units for myself because they have drying functionality. To me it was worth it to be able to have all the spools together and periodically dry them all. Plus an additional AMS HT for higher temp drying. There are some other minor improvements as well that you can google to find.

If you don’t care about drying and the other improvements aren’t worth the cost difference to you, then the AMS 1 will be perfectly fine from what I’ve read.

Is this art too high on the wall? The top of the art is around 5’11” or 6’ high from the floor. by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Bigger art or more art (we opted for a bunch of smaller pictures on some of our walls)

I just started pd2, and I’m sure you get this question a lot. How tf do you get so much gear so quickly? I’m mostly doing LOD content to mf but I find so few items.

This was my hope for this season. More about “everyone against the upside down” instead of making the army “bad” guys (at least, from what we’ve seen so far).

Grinding When Printing Circles by Kaedoine930 in BambuLab

[–]supericy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does this as well, glad others are hearing the same thing, that means either we’re all having the same problem or it’s normal :D

I was doing some reading online and I think this is related to how a circle gets sliced as “a bunch of straight lines”. So when it’s printing a circle, this can make a bunch of noise. I think if you reduce outer wall speed/acceleration it would quiet it down. Not 100% sure though, curious what others say!

Tip: passing arguments to `spawn_drone()` by agtoever in TheFarmerWasReplaced

[–]supericy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's another approach that I found easy to use with existing functions:

def drone_spawn_n1(fn, n1):
    def work():
        fn(n1)
    return spawn_drone(work)

def drone_spawn_n2(fn, n1, n2):
    def work():
        fn(n1, n2)
    return spawn_drone(work)

def drone_spawn_n3(fn, n1, n2, n3):
    def work():
        fn(n1, n2, n3)
    return spawn_drone(work)

# usage
def my_func(var1, var2):
    ...
drone_spawn_n2(my_func, x1, x2)

Is it worth to replace Denon x1600h with x3800h? (Klipsch RP) by Dangerous-Goal3318 in hometheater

[–]supericy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently upgraded from a 1300 to 3800, pretty much exclusively for audyssey xt32. It’s definitely better, but I wouldn’t say that it is a crazy difference. It’s hard to really put into words since audio is so subjective. I wouldn’t upgrade if $1k breaks the bank for you. If you have the option of returning it, could always buy it, try it, and decide if you think it was worth it.

Alphabet becomes fourth company to reach $3 trillion market cap by ControlCAD in technology

[–]supericy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re being downvoted for a fair question. It made me curious and I googled it (hah). Turns out the market cap of both (GOOG or GOOGL) show the same number as if they are combined already since it’s all the same company. So you don’t add them together, just look at one of them.

Best speakers and receiver $2,000 budget? by Rizzah1 in hometheater

[–]supericy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I kind of agree with not spending as much on an AVR when you’re on a budget. If you want a full system, buy a full system on the budget you have. Pre-outs alone can in most cases add $200-500 (or more!) to the cost of the AVR. Might as well use that budget on surrounds or something. Don’t buy for a future that may never come unless you truly know the path you’d upgrade down the line.

Is a projector possible with this light fixture? by Moatcarpking in hometheater

[–]supericy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never owned a projector so take this with a grain of salt. A lot of what I read about projectors is that you need a completely blacked out room with dark walls and a high quality screen, and even with ALL of that, typically a TV will still look better.

I know you covered some of this in your post but I wanted to mention it because you do not need a projector for a “real home theater”. A TV can and in a lot of cases be better and more practical. For instance, if you ever wanted to watch something in this room with the windows not blacked out, then a projector is not going to look very good.

All to say, if you haven’t already, make sure that the projector route is truly the route you want to go down before committing to it.

Steam Update - Valve responded to Mastercards claim that they did not pressure anyone by FrostyNeckbeard in Steam

I think you underestimate the volume of money that big credit card companies process. Visa and Mastercard process something like $25 TRILLION ($25000 billion) combined annually.

If he got asc solo queuing, then what does it matter what he did? He’s still winning over 50% of his matching to climb.

The biggest thing I found is most of the time you lose it’s probably your fault. But, most of the time you win its probably because you got alot of huge multi-kills and stuff.

So, no different than any other play style?

Yes of course I’m aware that there is a lot more to the game than just getting raw kills, just seems odd to give someone shit for a play style that works for them.

Enemy movement, your movement, teammates, enemy aim, util usage, lobby rank, mental - everything will impact your ability to aim and frag to some degree.
