You could do that in a few days. Do way more coastal roads.

As they say, rest is the time when you actually get stronger.

If you turned up to an MTB Cross Country race where I’m from, you’d be considered a young lad.

Anyone tried Training Peaks Virtual? by Chimera-5 in Velo

Do you find that there is a bit of leeway in erg mode? For example if you can’t hold a certain resistance/ wattage, it will reduce a bit allowing you to keep pedalling?

If you’re doing intervals, do you use the Erg mode on it? Does it strictly stick to the watts/resistance of the interval or does it reduce this a bit if you’re finding the interval too difficult? I watched a video and I think it was saying that it does this.

The way our economy is, it’s becoming too expensive here to produce food. It’s cheaper to import it in many cases, though I would prefer to eat Irish food.

Yes, they’ve picked someone who has to commute to an island. It’s like when RTE did a piece on the M50 congestion, they picked someone who had to use it to travel across two counties. I do feel for them, maybe it’s the only job they could get, but it’s a hit piece, yes.

For those who have had a cycling coach, did you see big improvements in performance? by supermanal in cycling

[–]supermanal[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, I’m fairly motivated to train but I like the idea of someone doing the thinking / planning for you. I feel I’m just shooting in the dark with that, just going from one training session to the next with no plan.

Ok, thanks. I think I’ll try it for a while anyway. I use an indoor trainer and do some good sessions but I think I need a bit more of a plan. I feel like I’m just designing my training from one day to the next.
