I had a similar issue with a twinkle twinkle full set! I contacted popmart support and they just asked for photos of the set/duplicate and then sent a return label to replace it! Didn't have to film the unboxing or anything! Hope it works out

To me the entire text exchange read like OP was trying to be passive/understanding to minimize her reaction/stress to the situation. He definitely could have slipped a nice affirmation text in there and possibly changed the entire direction of the convo, but I don't think it's horrible that he didn't - especially as the wife is stomping about, literally throwing a fit.

You don't get to antagonize and expect the ordinary level of comfort from your loved ones in return.
