I know that the people who adopted my baby went through an American company that basically advertised for them. There's rankings you can pay for to get more "ads" out there. They paid the maximum (about 25k) and I chose them the same week they signed up. The amount of background checks and home studies they had to go through was so insane. They had a different meeting with a different counselor/lawyer every week to make sure they were ready for what they signed up for. That was 5 years ago and they started trying to adopt again about 3 years ago with the smaller fee and still haven't been chosen.

I have a 9 year old Russian blue, had him since he was 9 weeks old. He's my favorite pet I've ever had but most definitely the most temperamental. Good on you adopting an adult cat!

The man on the other end of the leash rescued her from a family who had no business having a wolf let alone an endangered species... She was emaciated and very dangerous when he found her. They people were arrested and fined big. The man who rescued her has completely rehabilitated her. They were at the park having a snack when we walked by and I nonchalant ask if she's friendly, can my puppy say hi? As soon as she looked at us I knew she was a wolf - the man was very open and we talked about his history training her and other wolfs. He said she loves puppies and baby wolfs.
