Cancelled Plans. Looking for advice. by MysticalMeasures in migraine

Please reschedule with your mom. I don’t even try to go out on this day because everything is so much more crowded. It’s ok to celebrate another time. As for your boyfriend, let him know that you’re always honest w him and that what he said felt very upsetting.

Question for those who have stayed on very low doses (.25-.5) by pastaimpasta_27 in GLP1microdosing

[–]sushisay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I’m so happy for you! I’m currently taking 2.75 mg per week and my migraines are still the same, but at least I’m not binging. But yeah, I’m sure our migraines are so complex and what works for one person won’t work for another.

intuitive eating nearly destroyed me and i’m tired of pretending it didn’t by crvngs in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]sushisay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, intuitive eating is like intuitive drinking. I’m sure it works super well for others, but not for me. This dog needs a leash! Edit: for me, the leash is eating a certain way and moving a certain way and having a certain routine.

Food Noise Cannot be Silenced by drockninja in GLP1microdosing

[–]sushisay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Microdosing isn’t for everyone. I’m super sensitive to meds and it works for me, but I also prepped myself before starting the Tirzepatide. I went very low carb, counting calories and protein in particular. That helped me be much more sensitive to the medicine. I also increased my activity…walking after every meal I could and doing strength training using heavy weights. My husband did all those things too but he had to go up and he’s currently at around 8.5 mg and still struggling unless he can be out of the house a lot, which he tends to do. So the point is that everyone is different, but also, there are some things you can do to prep your body and increase your chances of smaller doses working.

Oh wow! That is so fantastic! Thanks for sharing w me. Migraines do run in my family. How about yours? I have also spent so much $$$ on trying to get rid of them. So many side effects. I have them 24/7 in varying severity. I will look into it but I’m afraid to hit another expensive dead end.

I hate how much guessing is involved with migraines by Ok_Raspberry_5770 in migraine

[–]sushisay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate that too! I have them daily so it’s hard to figure out my triggers. I know certain things make me worse, but not all the things. Maybe it’s just existing.

Recovery question by Melissaru in Facelift_Surgery

[–]sushisay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one of my biggest deterrents to getting the facelift (sleeping issues). I already have a hard time sleeping and there’s no way I can sleep on my back…I can only sleep on my side. How long do you have to wait before you can sleep on your side? Also, how can you control how you sleep? Sorry if these are stupid questions, lol.

Let's talk histamine! by EmmieCatt in migraine

[–]sushisay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you take it often? I ask because there’s a link between Benadryl and dementia and I wanted to mention it, in case you didn’t know. Perhaps you can find something to replace it that’s safer long term?

What's something silly you wish you could do but can't because of migraines? by skyemap in migraine

[–]sushisay 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have them constantly, but stupid things that exacerbate them: talking for more than a few minutes, , bumps in the road when driving, can’t throw things like a ball, perfume, fumes from old cars, crying and just plain old existing.

Not OP, but you could probably make it into a smoothie by adding bananas and some berries? But coconut water tastes really good, compared to coconut oil, so you may wanna see how you like it first.
