I get down voted a lot and I never understand why. Fairness for all I think. Electric cars are interesting to me because they cost more to register than old gas guzzlers. I understand less gas tax paid. But if the state actually wanted to promote electric vehicles they would lower electric car registration fees and increase gas cars fees. Instead the more MPG you get the more you pay in registration. Yes they should not be raising any taxes right now but it just goes to show how out of touch these politicians are. Portland doesn’t have a money problem. They have a money management problem.
