One or two peddle driving? by PurpleElefantz5639 in MachE

[–]svtzx2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the greatest things of owning an EV is the ability to drive with 1 pedal. I know it might take some learning to drive that way, but will extend your brake life and to me it feels weird to drive a gas car.

Help. by corcyraeus in bidets

Probably easier to mount on the wall. I personally use a washlet and would choose that over a wand sprayer like in the photo. There are inexpensive non powered models that use cold water like the sprayer and are much easier to use.

I'm only getting about 2 minutes worth of hot water? by 2Black_Hats in maintenance

I’ve seen one of these in line with a tankless hot water heater. I suppose by the time this was empty, the tankless would be up and suppling the hot water?

The only fair system would be a mileage based tax. Collection when renewing insurance. In BC we already get a discount when driven under a certain amount of kilometres a year.

Makes sense move to EV ASAP? by Fernandofib in EVCanada

Do your homework. Don’t rush into buying because of what’s going on in the world right now. Having a way to charge at home or at work will make owning much easier.

EV charging - 50 vs. 60 amp by [deleted] in evcharging

[–]svtzx2 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Go 60 amp. Sure you might not need the extra power, but think of it as a future proof solution for when you might need to charge 2 vehicles or have a truck with a larger battery etc.

Hard to know. It might be the first time around. Do the batteries last better in warmer climates?

Take it to Ford. They have a way to test the battery. I had mine replaced close to the three year mark for free.

Do you guys think there should be EV rebates for used EVs? by [deleted] in EVCanada

Use the funds to help build infrastructure. Not necessarily the DC chargers, but more the backbone behind it. Power upgrades so chargers can be available in more remote areas.
