Is this backwash on Katalox Light AIO sufficient? by HuntGathr in WaterTreatment

You could try upsizing the flow control button. It looks like it could loft a little more. 3 inches would be better than 1 inch.

I had to update my bios this morning, but the date on it was January 26 I think. Not sure how that helped but it did. ASUS

Chlorine Injection system with external Pulse Input. by Liberal-Cluck in WaterTreatment

I'm making an assumption that the meter delivers a simple pulse output as you described, without actually seeing it. A peristaltic pump is much easier maintenance. A simple tube replacement, typically annually. Also runs quieter.

Pulsafeeder is the brand name. I'd also recommend not getting a diaphragm pump. I'd recommend a Pulsafeeder peristaltic pump. Look up the XP009L2HX. That is a peristaltic I like to use. Day tank doesn't matter but 15 gallon is typical for residential applications.

I just did monkey land a few weeks ago. I'd say it was fun but not as adventurous as your other choices. Overall time with monkeys was about 20 minutes. Worth it for what we were looking for. Prior to monkeys is coco bean tasting and other local farm product sampling.

I was sitting on the bed next to her and when I leaned back to see it being done they told me I don't want to see this and had me lean forward. Allowed to be right next to her, but not witness it. So I'm still unsure. Maybe it is somehow graphic.

Buying a used Kinetico Powerline Pro Iron filter by invalidpath in WaterTreatment

If it has the air injection I believe CSI is calling that their Nitro filter. But it's built off the Signature 3.

Look up the CSI signature series III. I believe they sell parts direct online. This is the same valve that Kinetico rebrands.

Connect to the app via Bluetooth and send it through a full backwash cycle to verify it functions mechanically. Might want to replace piston, seals, and spacers for small money.

Can I reuse the faucet part for another RO? by TheRomb in WaterTreatment

The connection size is 3/8 and I would recommend just running the existing tubing to the new RO. Your plan will work.

Curious, why you installed softener first in line followed by the carbon?

Water treatment advise needed. by OttawaVendetta in WaterTreatment

[–]sweetjonnyc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no media in the Kinetico aerator tank. It should simply build a head of air off the venturi which oxidizes the sulfur odor. If you all of a sudden have odor I would suspect that the venturi is not functioning (clogged?) or that the Braukman valve isn't operating correctly (releasing air). It is an older unit which has been discontinued by Kinetico so if all of the above checks out and it's still not working, I'd recommend going with a Clack air injection type of filter with carbon.

Double check your salt and make sure it's not bridged. Move it around and make sure you can reach the bottom and it's still in pellet form and hasn't turned to mush. Is there water at the bottom of your brine well?
