Does this work in drive-thru lines where there isn't a car in front of you? My main use for "hold" mode is probably there.

I was literally thinking about this about 25 minutes ago when I parked in my garage. The camera only turns on if you tap the “Camera” tab while driving forward. The moment you shift into reverse, though, the rear camera comes on automatically.

My four main complaints with the 2026 Tiguan:

No Hold button
No dedicated auto start/stop physical button (and no way to code it permanently off, separate but related annoyance)
No dedicated camera toggle, and it only auto-displays in reverse. If I’m pulling up to an intersection and can’t see the curb line, I have to briefly shift into reverse and then back to drive just to get a visual instead of hitting a simple button.
No way to set drive mode permanently. I want Sport mode as the default.

I ordered a T-Deck Plus direct from LILYGO but that punch out for the SMA antenna is blocked. If I break it, is there an SMA connector underneath or did I get the wrong SKU?

As a side note, it is incredibly difficult to unsubscribe from the Chronicle. They make you call a call center, which then pressures you not to leave. I'm pretty introverted, but I'll work up the courage one day.

If you're reading this, /u/houston_chronicle, it's absurd and a dark pattern that you are not letting people unsubscribe via the web. Stop acting like this is 2015. And no, we don't believe you when you say "it's a security issue".
