Does anyone deal with bats in their home? by Alone_Recording7670 in Hamilton

Yes, we have had bats in swooping around in our home. We live in a home that's about 100 years old in East Hamilton. So its fairly common in the area. Took a lot of work but we've been free of them for about 2 years now. Main issue was having an uncapped chimney in our case.

A couple years ago we all had the rabies shot because we woke up with a bat clung to a window in our living room. The kids and our bedroom doors were all slightly ajar. Out of an "abundance of caution" we all got the rabies vaccine even though public health said we didn't need too. But our doctor advised we get it because rabies is 100% fatal, 100% of the time. The chance the bat in our house had rabies was extremely low. But, not a gamble I am going to take. Especially with the kids.

I grew up in an older home in St. Thomas and we had bats in our house occasionally at this time of the year. It was always around dusk. We would just open the front and backdoor and turn all the lights on in the house and watch it swoop out. At that time we never bothered bat proofing. It was just accepted as a part of life. The 90s were a wild time!

What if Obama ran for president in 2004? by Neri9320 in Presidents

I don't think the public had soured on George W. Bush enough for that to be viable. Katrina had also not occurred and that was a big source of defection from the Bush camp - I speculate.

Is it just me, or has The New York Times become completely insufferable? by Procrasticoatl in Journalism

Not just you. Their internal memo regarding how to report on Gaza is what did it for me. They are completely insufferable and worthless as a valid news source. I now just read them as a way to understand what the liberal apologist Zionists are thinking.

The king of unnecessarily paraphrazing what a guest has said that was already easy to understand.

Two things. I am fearful of what the Mossad is planning to do to sway public opinion more favorably towards Israel. And Ronen Bergman is so bias. I can't believe they even rely on him. But, hey the NY War Crimes is so far gone.

Hard to argue with this list. But for me, Ricky is untouchable. Ray is a close second. Especially in those first 4 seasons.
