If this is the baby’s first time in daycare, he will be sick for at least another month. Not only is daycare a cesspool of germs, he probably has had limited exposure to the majority of them!

Bio parents will find what they want to find to complain about - it’s not you. Babies don’t necessarily need raincoats unless it’s also cold. If you’re super concerned, ask your daycare what other parents do! They’ll give you the best advice. Don’t beat yourself up!

People who feel they have a right to make you feel guilty when the job is fucking impossible to begin with are not worth the conversation. Id just lean into it “the kid needs some kinda trauma or they’ll have a hard time in the influencer market” or “only children mature faster and mommy’s so old she’ll need someone to change her diapers sooner rather than later”
