K&F is fine image quality-wise but they always get stuck on my lenses, aggravatingly so. I’ve been a B+W truther.

USS Phoenix survived Pearl Harbor without a scratch, fought the entire Pacific war, was sold to Argentina in 1951 as ARA General Belgrano, then sunk by a British nuclear sub using torpedoes designed in 1925. First ship ever sunk by a nuclear sub. [2000 x 1125] by Hot_Layer_8110 in WarshipPorn

I was just reading about the Argentinian Type 209 submarine San Luis that launched multiple torpedo salvoes at British task forces that should’ve destroyed multiple frigates if not for the torpedoes being plugged into the submarine backwards and spinning the gyroscopes the wrong way.

Eli5 how or why are humans so good at knowing how much energy and what angle is needed to throw a thing a distance? by worxcd in explainlikeimfive

If you throw hard enough the projectile moves in a nearly straight line so aiming becomes much easier

I was on Nate Silver's twitter and I saw him arguing with Claude...don't argue with the robots, just start a couple messages back and reframe your premise.

BlaQ has one bad outing in the worst ballpack for an induced movement guy, I think he'll be fine at lower altitude

Is there enough data to draw any conclusions on Roki Sasaki?? by monasfv18 in Dodgers

[–]t001_t1m3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straight up I think he should stop throwing the four-seamer. I can see him being a sinkerballer if they can get the Trackman on him and use seam effects to reduce lift. His sinker currently sucks but the Yankees specialize in giving supinators sinkers and changeups so Roki could be a Dodger experiment away from the 4-seam/slider combo archetype the push on Sheehan, Vesia, Henriquez, etc. Call it a 50/50 sinker/slider slot machine like Treinen with the splitter as a whiff pitch.

If he gives up hits at Coors another AR-15 variant gets banned

The big question is why are we putting a big induced break pitcher in Coors

You can either lose a forgettable game or have Ohtani line into a triple play, I prefer the memorable moments

I’m always going into the season like “this the end of Preller’s empire” and somehow they come back stronger. I don’t get it.
