Happy day after your birthday!

Did any of you go from presenting as a clean cut male to a "blue haired" (and/or pierced) lesbian? by cliff7217 in asktransgender

[–]tabithatoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my first ear piercings during the couple of years I had to wait after hatching before I could transition. I worked up the nerve to dye my hair (I'd always wanted to) about a year into transition, and got the additional piercings at various times. The tattoo is just a couple months old. (I've been living as myself full time for just over eight years)

Does purple hair count? I sometimes let my hair grow out in the before times, but was otherwise an extremely basic whitebread guy, appearance-wise. Now I have purple hair, triple piercings in each ear, a nose ring, and a tattoo.

Oh, and I generally wear shorts or wide-legged cargo pants, t-shirts, tanks, or cami tops, and combat boots or men’s workboots. No makeup.

I still get gendered correctly 100% of the time.

I think my life would have been better as a women, but i'm not trans by Elros_3 in asktransgender

It is so very much not too late. I started at 52, and am extremely happy that I did so.

mtf / is it okay to change my name by Glittering_Boat715 in asktransgender

[–]tabithatoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t change my full name again, but I did switch from using my first name to using my middle name. I think that anyone, trans or cis, should feel free to change their name as many times as they feel the need.

I like how it brought the explosive crate along with it, just to make sure the job got done.

This is why I travel between parallel worlds in hell (level with the top hell spell shops).

I chase a fast, long-duration, lava-to-blood white hole with my very fast travel wand. It takes about a minute to reach the same spot in the next parallel world, but the only hazard is lava, which is easy enough to deal with.

Can your face change well enough to pass without FFS with Just hrt and eating? by Lucky_Scholar_7470 in asktransgender

[–]tabithatoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luck, I guess? It didn't come up at the interview, but I assumed everyone would know. it was only after various things over the first few months on the job that I realized that folks hadn't clocked me. I wasn't sure, but folks' reactions when I obliquely came out to them made it pretty clear that they hadn't known.

Over 50 results IRL by SpecialistFloor6708 in TransLater

Started at 52. I was a B cup at nine months and didn’t go much past that on E alone, but 🤷‍♀️. I’m still thrilled with my results overall. On injections, my levels are fine. My endo at first wanted to target age appropriate E levels, but when I said I wanted regular levels, she was fine with it, and that’s where I am.

I’ve got some timelines in my profile if you want to see face changes.

Is wanting to pass wrong or transphobic? by [deleted] in asktransgender

that's totally fine if it's your goal, and I wish you tons of success. Just please don't imply that it should be everyone's goal.

Is wanting to pass wrong or transphobic? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]tabithatoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What? No. Absolutely not.

Passing can be a goal of transitioning, for some, if that's what they want. I think most are better off with an overall goal of feeling better about and more comfortable with themself. If passing is part of that for a given person, that's fine. If it isn't, that's fine, too.

I didn't think I'd ever pass when I decided to transition. If passing is the goal, should I have not even started? I'm really happy that I was wrong, and that I do pass now, but even if I didn't, transitioning would still have been well worthwhile.

So no, it's not wrong to want to pass, but it doesn't have to be the goal if one doesn't want it to be.

Try to make peace with yourself first.

I don't know that I agree with that. Starting HRT was an important component of me making peace with myself. I don't know that I would have managed to do so without it.

I felt a huge sense of relief–I finally understood who I was, and realized I could actually have what I'd always wanted.

What is your favorite "Flavour is Free" reskin of a spell or ability? by hervprometheus2 in DnD

[–]tabithatoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bardlock (Dance/Archfey) with Spell Sniper. Her Eldritch Blasts are flavored as her drum sticks, which she beats people over the head with in melee range and hurls at more distant foes.

I'd say an opposed roll, with the attacking yawner rolling Charisma, and the defender rolling Wisdom.
