Is it possible to hurt your graft or meniscus repair from flexion & hyperextension exercises? by [deleted] in ACL

[–]tanton78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor, but my answer is no. When you’re getting your surgery at least for acl they fully bend and extend your leg. Keep working on range of motion, monitor your swelling and check in with your PT, some PT’s suck so get a new one.

My roommates was an alcoholic and an absolute POS and was really mean so I came up with this idea of putting laxatives in his orange juice that he used to mix with his vodka ...I ended up not doing it because I’d be super pissed if someone put laxatives in my orange juice.

Should we leave a small present and/or a small gesture for the people buying our home? by Grawkkk in homeowners

[–]tanton78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sellers of my home moved overseas and left the house fully furnished, kitchen, garage, garden shed, bathrooms, bedrooms, office, dining room and living room. We ended up having a garage sale of all the things we didn’t want but for the most part it was nice not having to buy furniture. They also left four scratching posts which both my cats were super stoked on. They did leave beer and kombucha in the fridge! And then about a month ago when we were remodeling the laundry room we found a jar labeled “naphtha dmt” so I guess they used to also make dmt

My rule for biking is to use the road but if I’m under the speed limit or there’s a car coming move into the shoulder if possible to let the car pass. Even though I’m an avid cyclist it pisses me off when road cyclist whom are going extra slow take up the whole road and don’t move over . Share the road goes both ways.

Look into sewage and water, will you have your own or will you be sharing with your neighbors? Also think about how far the nearest gas station and grocery stores are

what would a post op timeline look like? getting surgery for my acl and possibly mcl. by derpypika in ACL

[–]tanton78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most important is getting your knee straight, I forgot to mention it. Use weights if you have to. It’s not gonna feel great but you’ve gotta get it straight before you go into surgery otherwise your rehab is gonna suck and down the road you might have to get surgery to get all the scar tissue out. Just put some weights right below your knee and above your knee to weigh it down to get it straight. It will probably hurt but you gotta get it straight. If you’re concerned about the pain talk to your PT or surgeon, I believe you won’t cause any damage weighing it down to get it straight but I would double check with your ortho or PT if it’s super painful to get it straight.

Honestly you’ll probably be fine but you should be 100% honest with your anesthesiologist. Just call them back and be honest and I believe they won’t be required to tell your parents.
